Didn’t Kay leave and come back once before when no one wanted to sign him ?
He was released at the end of our first season back EFL Mark Cooper resigned him soon after his appointment as manager.
He divided opinions amongst supporters. A match winner on his day but sadly those days were not often enough IMO. His petulance let him down big time on to many occasions for my liking. Good luck
To him wherever he ends up

Think Gordon will go too now, can't meet kays demands I don't expect us to stave off the competition sniffing around sadly.

Perhaps we offered Kay a pay as you play deal ! So doesn’t get anything whilst banned for getting sent off!

If Kay stops all the histrionics and concentrates on his game he could comfortably play at league 1 level !

3 reds in 5 seasons. Not that bad.

Just been looking at his record. He only had 5 bookings this season.
2 yellows in the last 25 games he's played.

Kay blowed hot and cold, I don't think he was consistent enough if we are looking to improve. He goes with my thanks and best wishes for his future career.

Kay was unstoppable on his day - but sadly there were not enough of them. Both parties have good memories from his time here - but it was time to move on, and we've already got a replacement in David Worrall.

100% worse off not having Josh in the squad. Hope it wasn’t down to finances because if it was I’d rather of gave kay whatever duffas being given on top of his wage

Firstly want to say that I sorry Josh Kay is leaving,he was our longest serving player and has been with us for five seasons which in this day and age is unusual and shows loyalty and you can tell by his twitter message that he thinks and cares about the club, like many have said probably not the most consistent but I think that might have a lot to do with some of formations some of the managers have used,at his best when running at defenders, yes prone to odd descretions but someone who gave 100 per cent and that’s why the barrow fans loved him with some special memories on the way like the overhead and who can forget that winning goal against Walsall which went along way to keeping us in the league ,as one of the team that got us back into the league you will always be a barrow legend, good luck with the rest of your career wherever that takes you

Very balanced post. The overhead vs Hartlepool was special. I wish it got to grace the FL era when more of our fans were in attendance. Goal in the FA Cup vs Barnsley in the last minute to take to extra time was another amazing one. Bradford away epitomised him by winning the ball back and getting on the end of a cut back to slot home. Chorley rocket at home IIRC was another. Walsall away, I forgot about that one too!!! Plenty of memories to take with him and for us to remember. Good luck wherever he lands next

You may get a shock. Gordon excelled last season but his goal scoring feats over the years at various clubs leave a lot to be desired. Many clubs swill take that into account before making a decision.

P.W didn't when he signed Duffus.
