Got critised for saying Telford and Whitfield should play, I rest my case ! The whole team excelled in difficult conditions, the only chance Newport had was when Warren missed the ball and a cross went right through the six yard box ,Spence straight through and Newby had good chances, the back 3 were absolutely rock solid and the midfield were brilliant. It's getting exciting ( and nervous, ) now can't wait for Easter !
You’re making that up Nige. Where’s your evidence

If we don’t end up with egg our faces then all shall be well for an enjoyable run in

Good win. No ones mentioned him but in my opinion Chester yet again the best player on pitch. Quality.
Been good all season but was lucky in second half when he almost gifted Newport a goal when he got the ball stuck at his feet in the penalty area

We just need to grind out results like yesterday. Scrappy game but deserved winners and we should have had more with better passing (or deciding not to pass and make a right mess of the shot)
Teams around us being inconsistent with results but we are 3 wins, 2 draws with 4 clean sheets in previous 5 matches so may it continue. Big weekend coming up with Grimsby at home (1 loss in last 6) then Morcambe away. I'd take 4 points from those 2 matches but 6 and we'll be right up in the mix

Our play-off place definitely solidified. The teams immediately outside the top 7 have played 2 games more. Walsall, on the same games as us are 8 points worse off.
no where near solidified imo.

He’s a brilliant solid, experienced player to have. Who happily goes under the radar, but his stats weren’t that great yesterday. 8 barrow players scored higher.
Same for Spence, seen over on Twitter someone had him as MOTM (by a country mile in his opinion) but again his stats didn’t back that up. His work rate makes him stand out but his accuracy sometimes suffers for it. I’d love to see a calmer Spence

(GR had highest)
However going to completely contradict myself because I’m not always a lover of these ‘stat’ sites…. Doesn’t show the full picture, doesn’t include things that can’t be ‘counted’ and pretty sure they’re not 100% accurate.
Guess my point was, shows it’s all about opinions!

Excellent win in horrendous conditions.
Just need to keep chipping away and see where we end up.

Barrow are 1/12 to finish top 7. We’ll have had a nightmare if we don’t make the play offs from here

Shame for Luca Stephenson doing his hamstring late on yesterday. I hope it isn’t too serious an injury as he brings some flexibility in the formation depending on where he plays. Always gives everything.

Yesterday's clean sheet was Barrow's 4th on the trot at home and 11th in the last 15 home games after conceding in all the first 4 games at home.

Looks like the goalkeeping coach is earning his keep. Hope I don't live to regret that comment!

Definitely a worry for me. Hopefully, Tiensia is almost fit again to play LWB with Newby playing RWB.

Ian I can only go by someone high up in the club said !
Our top earner is Dom Telford earning £4.400. per week of which £2.200. is being paid by Crawley that was the deal that brought him here so that would mean by Blue Nige Stockton is on £13.200. pr week. and cannot see Burton paying that sort of money.
