We are at the bottom of the food chain where transfer window signings are concerned. Any so called ready made first 11 signings probably won’t happen until late in the window even as late as deadline day imo

Cameron played well his last two outings- needs a run of games - hopefully the new coach will get the best out of him. Gordon the only other fit striker so I can’t see Cameron going anywhere

The hardest part is getting people to sign when they look at our league position so anyone decent is a bonus!

Would I have liked a couple of extra players in (esp a striker) yes but the windows still open. We've signed 3 promising players which hopefully add pace to our back line. At a total guess I'd guess maybe a couple of quick younger players from higher league clubs in forward positions to come in. I could see at least 1 more departure for a fee.

I like the fact we haven’t rushed head first into bringing players in. Identity your short falls. See who is available within your remit. Sell the vision to them not just for this season but for next if they buy into it and you believe they can produce the goods welcome them with open arms. Some positions are easier to fill than others and patience is often the shrewdest strategy. In Paul Gallagher we now entrust. We certainly needed to clear a lot of dead wood out and we are doing just that, not all but you have to start sensibly but it’s definitely sizeable chunk and is real positive going forward. Think we have eleven players on our books that are under contract for next season with extra year options on others.

He's 31, he can score goals.. is he better than what we have? Probably.. it's a gamble, as is any other player we take on. I suppose if we purchase him, if it doesn't work, we may get a fee if we sell on?

We need someone asap, is he hungry enough? Can Gallagher get him revved up? What he did for the shrimps was brilliant and that's the player we want, Wil he be that player again..?

In those circumstances why would anyone else want to buy, apart possibly for a team in the National League?

We would lose a massive amount of money we haven't got.

So basically we’d have to sell Stanway to buy Stockton?
Not sure we could justify £100k when he’s on a free in the summer; mind you I’m not sure what we spunked away on Garner so perhaps
