It's starting to look really good -

If ours isn't ready others won't be either - lots of teams do this in the close season and considering work started sometime ago and we don't have a game on it for another 5 weeks yet I am sure it will be fine

It will also help the better footballing side as well, which could be a bit worrying.

Not much point in taking a photo today as it looks pretty much the same from a distance, it's only when you stand above it you can see all the little patches that were bare starting to close up & knit together now.

Looking good though.

Think this has been put on the back burner because the steering group has not even been formed can`t see it being any earlier than this mid -season.

There were architects/designers at the ground this week, apparently.

I may be incorrect in what im saying but this steering group thing was announced over a year ago wasn't it?

Why hasn't anyone been put in place yet?

If that's right then I don't understand what's going on because we were told the architects had been chosen and there would be 3designs and it would be used as a starting point and changes made to suit!

That is still correct. Paul is meeting with the Architects, project managers and other people whilst he's over this week.

The Ground Group is still happening, and the main sticking point at present is what land we have to play with. I believe that's the basis of his meetings this week.

The longer this goes on without actually seeing any designs, the more I believe the existing ground is readily upgradable without a total rebuild. Have the existing Main stand expanded to the full length of pitch (2000), The Pop side to remain as a large terraced paddock with the missing terracing replaced back down to pitch side (2000), the HSE re-roofed on top of existing terrace (2000)- (if this can be done somehow) and a seated stand (similar to main stand) behind the Crossbar end (1500) with all the hospitality- and returned as the away end. This would give us a traditional / modernised ground that I'm sure would appease most fan groups. I personally wouldn't want the same mainstand as Fleetwood. No curved roofs for me and stands clinically separated from each other and far back from pitchside. And still hope they continue with refurbing the floodlight pylons.

How is any of that incompatible with architects/designers being at the ground this week?
