If the club cant staff it message me tomorrow lets get this staffed. I know a lot off unemployed bar staff looking for work.

Club are getting ripped up for this but at the end of the day we just haven't got the resources in place yet to manage it post handover from Trust volunteers. Yes they've missed out on a Euro’s pay day and every single England game there will be an outcry of missed opportunity, but on the longer term the fan zone is getting ready to be up and running for Barrow match day events. And by that it has to provide a good match-day experience, catering for all.

One thing about this place which may alter significantly the amount of use on match day is whether access is before of after entry to the ground. I hope its before.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN: There is a clear consensus from Bluebird fans that the fanzone should be open for the remaining England games. Who knows we might reach the semi's or even the final! Never happened before. Recruiting a few staff (paid or volunteers) and reopening the Bar is NOT Rocket Science for crying out loud. It's been done before! Please can someone get their act together. By obliging so many requests you'll create a lot of goodwill and will add much-needed cash to the coffers. Let common sense and decency prevail. Thank you.

Harry Gornall was appointed Hospitality/Bar Manager on the 13th May that's 7 (SEVEN) weeks ago.

If I was in a job for 7 weeks and not produced anything I'd have been long gone.
Between the club and the Trust this is a complete shambles and no-one is trying to rectify it

The excuse of us being off the beaten track doesn’t really wash when you see that amount travelling to the other side of the town.

Holker tickets go on sale at 20.00 tonight, imagine they will sell out by bed time……local club using their initiative fair play to em. Can’t stress what an own goal this is…..embarrassing truth be told, had soooooo long to arrange this.

That’s fantastic for HOBs Ian, fair play to them.
2000 odd (of those who could get tables) boosting various town sports clubs coffers is great to hear.

Only 300 tickets available at rakesmoor, being run by separate concern, Pitch Up, but sure Holker will be getting something from it.

Some, still a separate concern

Plenty of lads and lasses without tickets to either of the two big screens. And places like Bar 5 are fully booked. What a great opportunity to get the place open for a few hours especially a Saturday night and get people in. The fanzone will never be anything other than a match day destination if this is the level of willingness for it to succeed. The trust did an excellent job staffing and running it. The club should have sorted this over the 7 weeks and be ready for events like Saturday. Poor.

For all the ones moaning, go to the rugby ground or holker for [SwearFilter] sake. The football obviously aren’t bothered for what they would make. And the older fans who support the club and it’s events probably wouldn’t appreciate the clowns who attend the England events,can’t take the drink and start throwing it about when England score. Don’t blame the club really, not worth it.
