Long journey home for the troops, not much to cheer about sadly. Would much rather us try and clear a few out and try and strengthen when we can than think about replacing the manager. It’s certainly not pretty at the minute confidence looks low and it’s up to the management to lift them and motivate a few. Sutton will be rubbing their hands watching the highlights.

Interesting looking at our lineup vs Oldham away .. when things were looking like they were going to be good this season. When we looked like we would score goals. When we kept sustained pressure in and around the opposition box.

The only changes in the lineup from then to today were Platt (for Taylor) and Kay (For Stevens)

We looked a million miles from that today, especially in the 2nd half. There are no excuses on fitness - we should be just as fit as any other team in this league no reason we shouldn't be.

Dunno how we are going to achieve any form of stability or consolidation in this league if we endlessly chop and change managers like some people want. Dunn and Jolley had to go as it was a certainty we'd have gone down under them. It hasn't got that bad....yet.
Popular side since '03.

It wasn’t long ago that I was looking at the table at half-time in the Port Vale game and we were sat in 4th place. Now we are 20th and lucky that there are teams worse than us. Problem is on current form I don’t think that there is anyone worse than us. We are probably on par with Carlisle if we are lucky - which we were in the last few moments against them.
Can’t see what the plan is to get out of this either.

Not good enough, but he’s the best manager we are going to get. Stick with him and let him makes the adjustments In January.

We played a lot better tonight- especially first half. We dealt well with any threat and had a couple of half chances which a team with confidence would finish off. Unfortunately our strikers are low on confidence at the moment. The stats show we were under the cosh second half but don't forget we were playing a decent team, top of the table and top of the form guide. They have shown why they are top of the league this second half. Their fitness levels were something else.
I can take the defeat- that was a tough game and sometimes you just have to accept being beaten by a better side. In truth. I felt more frustrated after the Carlisle, Crawley and Scunthorpe games. Those are the games that we have underperformed.

Just beaten by a better team tonight. First half even then even Stevens.
Stood behind Ray Wilkie for years. Best education I ever had.

Yes, bottom of the form table with Carlisle.

I honestly don't know where the next win is coming from or the next goal which is worrying.

We just didn't, not at all. It was dreadful stuff from minute 1 to minute 95.

That’s it in a nutshell. If we want to be up near the top- that’s the level we need to be at. Blaming tactics? We played out from the back, utilised Gotts and Banks in most of forward play and pressed from the front- it worked well first half - the signs were there last 5 mins of the half that FGR were in the ascendency. The simple fact is they have the quality to go up a gear after half time and their quality came through. We came up against a better side than us. Even the most blue shaded specs can recognise that. Frustrating as that may be to some.

That’s alright, you can have a different opinion to mine. I felt a lot worse after the Carlisle and Scunthorpe games
