Well I did tell you that Ipswich were crap in cup games at home. I believe it’s now 10 games since they won one.

We played well and battled hard. Got ourselves in some good advanced positions before wasting the final ball. One goal would have done it.

Ipswich were rank. They had no plan were resolute in defence and in the main hesitant up front. Paul Cook tried to play smart with his squad bringing in some fringe players and then subbing them for better players in the second half. But it was a mess.. something they seem to repeat at Portman Rd in every cup game they play.

Unfortunately they are a better unit away.so don’t expect the same shambles when they come to HS. Let’s hope the wind blows, the frost bites and the rain is horizontal.

John McGreal has only this week returned to the club to take over as u-23 development officer. Many of their fans were already speculating that this was a precursor to todays events actually occuring and he'd be ready to step into the hot seat.

Wasn’t boring by any means. Became end-to-end in the 2nd half and was an enjoyable game as 0-0s go.
