Not sure if you heard it or not but It was just a comment from the manager in his interview post Mansfield along the lines of the defenders not heading and maybe they’ve signed a pre contract somewhere else

No, it's just that there have been rumours that he has already signed a pre-contract agreement with someone else.

How do we know it is Platt? Given the speed of his exit this week I suspected that could have been Ellis?

Quite right of course. Platt is not in form but I won't pretend I know why.
