Have a scroll through the tweets. Every tweet is about a player being released from their club that’s played for Carlisle at some point in their life

You have got to be kidding Charlie! We had a horrendous time finding the suitable replacements for Ian Evatt when he left. I would imagine it would be a similar scenario finding the right fit again.
Not saying nobody isn’t eventually replaceable, but not sure we can get it wrong first time this time around if he was to leave now.
At the moment it’s merely rumours emanating from very disgruntled from upper Hawcoat. We wait for the right noises when the time is right. At the moment let them enjoy a much needed break.

Where’s all this coming from?
There’s nothing to be gained in changing manager. We need continuity. He said from his very first interview that it’s a building process. Yes it was head scratching why we capitulated last quarter of the season but that gives him and his team the basis for improving things over summer.
I like PW- I like the fact he’s not trying to be a lower league Pep and the way we play can get results. Just look back at the David Dunn season and compare it to now in just a few short seasons. Exactly!

Nail on head Jonty. Can think of a few ways that PW might leave the club but some kind of falling out with the BoD in a post season review where the two parties agree a mutual parting of the ways would probably be my least favourite.
Fully expected there to be a lot of speculation about PW at the seasons end. If we had reached the play-offs I’ve little doubt that other clubs would’ve been very interested. So no surprise that he’s front and centre in all of this.
But for the club to facilitate his departure in any way having put defences in place to avoid it happening would be strange indeed.

Sorry if my initial post was misinterpreted. Of course RC's agenda is not set by comments on this forum,thats the job of the EM. What I should have said was if there was any truth to the rumour it surely would have been commented on during the RC sports show. The fact it wasn't hopefully means it has no substance but only time will tell.

I think Iain Wood has been the major factor behind the club’s success over the last couple of seasons. I’d be more concerned if he was leaving.
If Pete Wild is on his way it would suggest there’s been a falling out between Wood and Wild. Maybe Pete doesn’t feel the need to take advice from him anymore.
No doubt the journalist Alan Nixon will be across this story, he’s broken a number of Barrow scoops over the last few years, he was the first of course to tell us Cole Stockton was Holker Street bound. I know I’ll certainly be buying the Sun on Sunday.

We won’t know until we know, but it sounds unlikely. I preferred the rumour about the 3 statement signings- mmmmmm. If there is a lesson here, it is that no news of any sort can create a vacuum which can be filled with speculation and nonsense by people who should but perhaps don’t know better . There’s a lot of press about the second coming ; rightly so. We have a media person, don’t we? Pete’s on a well deserved holiday. Fill the void man. Keep the mob happy , give them entertainment or they will entertain themselves, to no good effect.

IF jeff1966 is correct there's two things wrong, first who informed him , obviously someone from the club !, so then (if true) then WTF haven't the people involved made a statement around this?
I agree about Iain Wood this guy must be KEPT I watched his interview on YouTube very very impressive ,whatever people the rollercoaster
that we all love will soon be open for business again!

As said earlier if we had got to ,the play offs PW may have been approached by another club.
He has done very well but he needs to loose the tag of nearly man.
Failed to get Halifax promoted and last two seasons with us.
The way our results went towards the end of season was a nightmare.
If he has gone it will have to be because of a fall out with the club which I find hard to believe or he is disenchanted
