I thought Shipley's first booking was poor from the ref, he got the ball and a bit of the man after the ball which happens a lot normally its allowed to play on but the ref thought differently unlucky in my opinion the second was both players tugging at each others shirt, again unlucky.

The first was a booking all day long. Wyl made his only mistake in the game giving Shipley a hospital pass with his throw out to hm , The Walsall player nipped in took the ball and Shipley took him down. The second was for kicking the ball away following giving away a free kick. A totally unnecessary booking that he will learn from.

Two great goals. You cannot beat quick counters with width, puts teams on the back foot.. They can pass it around all day long, it ain’t getting anywhere. Went there with a game plan- result.

Stanway deserving all the accolades he gets. He’s been a stand out performer this season and is a top keeper.

The guy has been a keeper for 4 years and look at him.
He is the next Barrow sensation and will go really far in the game…..if he realises it and believes it. That is what the top 2% do in this game. Dedicate your life as he has a massive chance.

I think it was great to see Elvis playing against us a trier but that's it.
He could have been another record signing but luckily he went elsewhere.

Could well be, but to be fair to Andy Whing, players returning from injury is helping.

Let’s get Stanway nailed down so that when he does go we get a big payday. How long is he signed up for at the moment?

Want Andy Whing to do well but bringing Rob Kelly back was the catalyst.
To me he is the hero ,he turned it around last time.
He must be one hell of a motivator but his experience will gain respect from the players and he will be able to lift players.

Was going to post the best signing we’ve made this season is obviously Rob Kelly. Whing obviously needed a bit of assistance and he got it. I’m amazed Whitfield hasn’t played more since his return, hopefully after yesterday he will.

Having a similar conundrum l find that deploying the loft ladder and standing thereof to be a suitably adequate alternative for expressing amazement at an unlikely away win for the Barrow. Needs must etc.

Absolutely excellent win topped off by the graft from the lads. Shipley sending off was daft, but otherwise we really put a shift in. Onto Barnet!

Walsall forum inquest ongoing. We are their bogey team in recent years.
Watched the extended highlights, we got away with a couple of decisions for sure, but there’s no taking away the work rate to get a second goal and dig in for the points. Love the fist pumps from Stanway- its going to be impossible to keep hold of him.

I suspect the signing of Winterbottom who was regarded as one of the best keepers in last years National league was made with the club having one eye on potentially Stanway moving on. Those that have watched him day and day out in training will have seen how good he is and even Andy Whing conceded after yesterday that he won’t be able to keep hold of him saying he has the potential to play at a much higher level

Excellent performance everyone was really impressive we must keep this up now and let’s see where we go

Stanway could make us some good £ - However his contract is up at the end of the season. There is an option of another year but I’d be looking to get him tied down further if possible

Everybody now getting hot under the collar about Stanway quite understandably although until a couple of weeks ago not much was being said despite him putting in decent shifts during a difficult start to the season.

The club needs to be given some credit. The nature of his contract suggests that his potential was always in their minds and the signing of Winterbottom, another very good young keeper also suggests the club was aware that their original assessment of Stanway was correct.

I’ve heard it suggested he’ll be gone by Xmas. I think the club would need to be in a very poor financial state for that to happen. The option to extend on his contract is as good as already done I would think and will act as a defence against poaching on the cheap. His value will continue to rise and if he is going to go I would think the end of the season would be more likely.

Still some rough edges. But his reactions are exceptional. Best I’ve seen in a Barrow keeper in a long, long time.
