Edmo has gone and taken the bad luck and excuses with him. Cox has proven that you can get results with some players of more limited ability if you set up right and have a proper game plan. Sounds harsh but as others have said we would probably have lost that game heavily just a month ago. When Cox brings in some of his own players mixed with the best of what we've got I think we could be on for a good second half of the season. Exciting times again!

Good post. "Bad luck" was becoming a habit under Edmo's management. All of a sudden we look much more resilient and organised. I agree with the the theory that a few weeks ago the 0-2 would have become a 4 or 5-0 pasting. Looking good so far.

I've watched Nick's red card tackle over and over again this morning. My view is that the ref has to act on what he sees at the time, and a red card seems fair enough. If you go into a 50-50 challenge with 100% commitment, as both players did, you have to accept that you are putting yourself at the ref's mercy, and one of you is going to be in trouble. However....on repeated viewings, it's not a sending off for me. One thing that it does prove though - Nick has obviously put thoughts of his broken leg behind him!
Great result and I'll take a point away at Lincoln any day of the week.....but, I can't help feeling Joel could have done better with both goals. Just a thought.

Possibly one of the most pleasing results of the season, to come back from two behind shows a great team spirit that was not there only a short time ago when we almost certainly would have lost that game. So far so good, Cox is getting them believing in themselves. Pleased for Walker, he is still a very important player for us.

Not a red card for me, seems people pick and choose what's a 'full blooded tackle' and a red card tackle, yellow for me. Watching Salford city on the box in the FA cup everyone was jizzing over those type of tackles and praising it.

Looking at the team selection is it seems like Cox is playing all of our squad to get an idea of the players he'd like to keep and those he'd like to leave after January. A few weeks ago I'd never have imagined the likes of Walker or Fofana even starting.
With Edmo as manager we'd never have come from 2 goals down to get a point and display the fighting spirit we showed yesterday.
As NWA is gonna be suspended for 4 games surely we don't really have anything to lose putting an appeal in against the red card?

I thought it was a bit harsh, he seemed to try and pull out the tackle and caught the player with his other leg. The crowd and players reaction didn't help. Looked worse than it was cause he dived / lunged into it a bit. Probably a booking which would have been a red anyway I guess. Seen much worse go unpunished.

I initially thought he got the ball and played it onto the other lads leg. On watching back, fair enough he was slightly late and took the man. Free kick yeah and potentially a yellow, but if thats a straight red then football is dead. His other two options there were to either stand still himself and get his leg broken, or to step completely out the way and let the other man go past him!

I also wish people would stop using the phrase "studs up" or "studs showing". Do the FA rules mention those phrases anywhere whatsoever? It's impossible to go into a tackle without your studs showing; by definition they point down your leg and away from the body which is how you tackle, surely it'd be pretty impossible to go into a 50/50 tackle without your studs showing, unless you're going to bend your leg 90 degrees and lead with your knee!

I hate the pharse as well "they are given now" Ste maybe if people stopped saying that nonesense refs would also stop sending people off for them.

Jury is out for Dixon he very dodgy at crosses at the moment spilled alot yesterday. He is young so i would like us to sign either a decent goal keeping coach or a more experienced keeper for him to learn from.

Drums should be banned from football grounds same boring sound coming from the Lincoln end yesterday.

Finally the stewarding was far too aggressive when all it would have took is a simple word saying no ecigs ect...

You're right, the jury definitely is out on Dixon. I'm a fan of the lad, and I think he's a good prospect. When you invest in a young goalie you accept that there will be the odd fumble or misjudgement along the way, but the cycle of pulling off "worldies" one minute then chucking one in the net the next can only be tolerated for so long. Inconsistency is high on Coxy's hit-list, and he will be weighing up his 'keeper options right now. One of those options might mean a recall for Aaron Taylor, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we see an experienced keeper being brought in next month.

Who was Mansfield's keeper when they went up? Where is he now?

I actually think it was an unwise signing, getting a raw youngster, but I suspect he wasn't first choice. Weren't we after the FG keeper that went to 'heed? He does make mistakes but hasn't done too badly overall. You only become an experienced keeper by playing. What happened to his England C training?

With the ref we had, NWA's tackle could have received anything from a red card to a pat on the back; every time he blew his whistle (or didn't, as the case may be) no-one knew what he was going to give.
