Barrow games are on AM frequencies and Freeview channel 721
I expect @anthony you weren’t using a tv to listen but streaming it which would get you the online feed hence getting our bbc goals show which is what we have on instead of the automated message which says you can not listen to this etc
We are not allowed to broadcast online free due to EFL regulations
IFollow commentary is available at either a monthly subscription of £4.49 OR as a one off £2.50 match pass

Re: Harrogate v Barrow match thread
Only just had time to read through most of this
For the people who wonder why there is more Carlisle discussion
Because there is no barrow interaction. I got 2 text messages from barrow fans and zero tweets
Pre match there are countless amounts of Carlisle fans getting involved in the show texting in opinions of team news tweeting their thoughts
If barrow fans aren’t getting involved in the show then physically other than the little bits where they come across to me what physically can I do?
I post the ways to get involved in the show
I put our appeals for supporters to come on the show
But people don’t come forward so literally there is little I can do about that
Bit of a rant yes but I’m fed up of constantly seeing the same moans and groans.
Carlisle fans moan there’s too much barrow talk
Barrow fans moan there’s too much carlisle talk
Which one is it? Makes me think it’s quite balanced then

OK here's my view on things today. After a long very wet drive from Altrincham where I seemed to be forever circling around Leeds to get to Harrogate with numerous stoppages and rainstorms finally got to the ground around 1.15 (took me 2 and a half hours). Short queue to get a ticket but they didn't open until 2pm and then it was a mission to get one! Can't believe the people who couldn't get in as there were plenty of seats available and room in away standing section. For those of you who moan about Barrow's organisation Harrogate are on another level. They are seriously useless.
As for the game all I can really say is we were sloppy. As many have said this is a division of mistakes and I was never really comfortable even when we went one up. Simply put Harrogate made less mistakes than us and therefore won. In the first half we often gave them the ball too easily in midfield putting pressure on ourselves. Their first goal looked like a heavy deflection that wrong footed our keeper their second was clearly a mistake when we lost the ball in a dangerous position. But we'd done that few times before that happened.
Love White and Banks but they need a midfield enforcer. We also need a Quigley type of striker to supplement the attack. James works hard but we have a better version of him in Gordon. Williams when up to fitness looks pretty useful and could have scored with his first touch. Zanzala does excite me but requires assistance from Sea plus that striker we haven't got yet. Ellis is strong be we need Platt back asap Hutton is good and works hard and I felt Kay put in a shift. It's all fine margins but a Cook/Quigley type player is what we need. (Cooky scored an 87th min winner today I see...sorry Hadrian I still like him).
Cooper spot on in interview. I've always been a sore loser and he is. I think he's the right man to take us forward but we've got to stop making the stupid mistakes.

1) White and Banks don’t need an enforcer, they need a better number 10 than Kay
2) Agreed we need a big striker, Hutton in particular whips some great crosses in
3) James isn’t good enough for League Two; I respect him for grafting last year but no, get rid

Re: Harrogate v Barrow match thread
Been disappointed with Kay so far.
Re: Harrogate v Barrow match thread
I'm really not sure what his best position is. I haven't seen today's game but at times v Exeter their defenders were comfortable keeping him in front of them.
I'm still hoping the niggling injury problems Devitt has had since arriving in January has prevented us from seeing the best of him yet.
Popular side since '03.

I've said this a few times ,Matty wrote: ↑Sat Aug 21, 2021 10:24 pmI'm really not sure what his best position is. I haven't seen today's game but at times v Exeter their defenders were comfortable keeping him in front of them.

Josh kays only position is wide left that is where he played under Evatt and he was superb with broughy behind him.
He's been tried all over the pitch by our last three managers with very little success ,
I think he'll be warming the bench soon if cooper doesn't play him in the only position he's comfortable and imo that's wide left he's dangerous albeit not great at the defensive side .

Not for me Devitt. Too injury prone but I think we are stuck with him till Jan 2023. Hope I'm proved wrong. Another Darren Anderton.

IMO. Thought Kay was one of our best players today, his temperament seems to have calmed down as well on last year, when he stormed off in one game after being subbed. Got elbowed today and didn’t let it rattle him.
