Well I did tell you that Ipswich were crap in cup games at home. I believe it’s now 10 games since they won one.

We played well and battled hard. Got ourselves in some good advanced positions before wasting the final ball. One goal would have done it.

Ipswich were rank. They had no plan were resolute in defence and in the main hesitant up front. Paul Cook tried to play smart with his squad bringing in some fringe players and then subbing them for better players in the second half. But it was a mess.. something they seem to repeat at Portman Rd in every cup game they play.

Unfortunately they are a better unit away.so don’t expect the same shambles when they come to HS. Let’s hope the wind blows, the frost bites and the rain is horizontal.

Great result and I was entertaining some Tractor boys along the halfway line. Not a particular good game but some wonderful effort from the Bluebirds.
We more than held our own in the first half but Ipswich more than dominated in the second period.
Josh had some good chances and Farms made one very good save in the second half.
Lots of huffing and puffing but hopefully some BIG team in the third round draw.
I enjoyed the day out but don't think Paul Cook did.

Agreed and it wasn't boring at all for people who weren't at the match. Just some interesting observations.

Simply cannot put a decent run of games together without getting injuries of some sort. Whilst I know no player gets injuries on purpose Platts general fitness must be a worry the amount of time he spends on the sidelines.

Add also Devitt, Beadling, Sea and Kosi to that list as well……..

Simply cannot put a decent run of games together without getting injuries of some sort. Whilst I know no player gets injuries on purpose Platts general fitness must be a worry the amount of time he spends on the sidelines.

Add also Devitt, Beadling, Sea and Kosi to that list as well……..

Beadling was named as a sub today, don't know if he's fit
A player Ide like to see back. Played well at end of last season.

The worry is he's got a back injury, he's going to have to manage that now throughout his career it's always going to be a weakness now let's hope it's going to be just a niggle and not something more serious .

Big Bluebird, I'm with other posters such as Fazered, MickMikeWilson, Spirit of 1990, Paul Michael and Russell Anderson in condemning the nature of your response to the post by Suffolk Blue. You may not know this but Suffolk Blue is a long-time respected contributor to this Forum (by most people I would suggest) and has often, over many years, come up with informative insights into things going on at our soccer club. From past posts it is known that he has been a loyal fan of the club for a long time, stretching way back into the pre-1972 time when we were last in the Football League. Then you come along with your intellectual contribution and trash him in three short words.

If you're still reading (and are not bored or worn out yet by the effort) then may I suggest two challenges for you:

Firstly, try to arrange to meet up with Suffolk Blue at a match and then say to his face "you're so boring". Perhaps you could let him have your name too, since you hide behind a pseudonym on here.

Secondly, get a chair and sit down in front of a mirror (yes, literally do just that) and see if you can come up with a list of 10 adjectives to describe the character you see in the glass . . . for instance, brave, hilarious, polite, civilised, etc etc etc. They are just examples of course, you choose the ten that you think are suitable.

(Sorry, that's a lot of reading so if you think Suffolk Blue is boring I shudder to think what you'll make of me . . . )
