Re: Colchester v Barrow match thread
Luke James was Man of the Match by a country mile. Great hold up play and worked so hard to always be available. I don't care if he doesn't score - he'd be in my team every week.

Not quite that long ago.saltcellar wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 6:27 pm 2 goals in an away league match, unbelievable.
Accordingly to Adam, Barrow had not scored an away league goal since the 2nd October.
Josh Gordon’s dramatic equaliser at Walsall on 23rd October the most recent, prior to today.

Great result today.
We have a difficult next 5 games 4 of them against top 8 teams.
I think we can get 10 points out of them

They have won their last six league games on the trot, and now in play off places.
A great one for us to win, and we can do it.

We won that’s all that matters in our position.

Spot on! Underrated by a lot of posters on here. Not a Goal Scorer but movement, holding up , closing down and awareness is excellent!

Good stuff as always Adam. Sounds like Cooper would like to try and get a few contract extensions amongst some of our ladsAdam29 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 15, 2022 7:47 pm https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0bhgkhf
My post match with Mark Cooper today

Fantastic win that.
I always complain about how difficult we find it to score goals as sides so rarely give anything away against us like we often do for them. We’ve had a habit of playing well but losing thanks to gifting the odd goal here and there and finally today I feel like we’ve benefited from a couple of cheap goals. Hopefully the tide has turned.

Massive win today really and takes us 7 point clear of the bottom.2. A few teams bunched above us too. A couple more wins on the bounce could take us to lower mid table so plenty of incentive to keep pushing. Hopefully a decent home crowd next after two good away performances/results.
