Going to three out of the next four including Wrexham.I just hope we turn them over.Now that would really put the icing on the Xmas cake.Come on you Bluebird fans,like Adam says pack Holker St out to the rafters and turn it into a fortress.It,s the 1960s since we last had it this good and I for one don,t want it to end.Pete and all the
team deserve your support.They have put Little Old Barrow on the map.This team deserves to be where it is and that is without some Big Time Charlie trying to buy success .It has been hard work and determination that has got this team to where it is,so come on everyone get yourselves along to Holker St on the 26th and 29th of December.Your club needs you.Let,s see if we can win the league.Onwards and Upwards.

Please don't shout at me but I can never remember what's been said on this subject previously.
I can't attend the Boxing Day match because of family arrangements etc but, I want to be counted on the gate even though I cannot attend so, if I buy a ticket now online will I be counted. All I want is for the club to make as much as possible.

Yesterday was a bit reminiscent of that day a few years ago at Notts County when we also scored three. Our promotion season. The day when I think we really believed for the first time that we could get back into the EFL.

Not a win based on a smash and grab. But one built out of dominance. That was classy. Perhaps for the first time anybody watching yesterday could not fail to notice how good this side is becoming. Though the thought of being beaten by us still had a few Swindon fans claiming armageddon had descended on the County Ground.

And some still think we are cloggers. The build up play for the second goal was great football. Totally undid the powder puff Swindon defence.

Although I was at the match, I have just watched the full replay on the club website, flipping between Adam’s usual excellent commentary and the Radio Wiltshire one. The home commentary was much better than usual, very complimentary about our set up and style of play. At the end of the match he asked whether Barrow players were sweating at all, it was that easy (something I ask about Nial Canavan every match, he looks so relaxed). The commentator is clearly very worried about Swindon, as he should be.
As others have said just above, it was very reminiscent of Notts County in November 2019, when I think we went top for the first time. The team is so strong all through - the Radio Wiltshire team were very envious of the quality of our subs (they had 5 inexperienced youngsters).
And I thought Farman’s save from Austin at 1-0 looked good at the time, but it was even better when I watched it back (did you hear Adam say that his family are giving him £20 for every clean sheet and his mother has offered him £1000 if he scores a goal - nearly did it on Saturday!)

I couldn’t agree more, I was thinking exactly the same.My one concern has been all season,and still is, despite our fantastic run we are on,we totally lack a striker,strikers,who can score goals. I know it sounds ridiculous,sat second in the league,but it’s true.

Totally agree. A Scott Quigley, Andy Cook or Byron Harrison in their hey day is needed. I added a striker to my list to Santa, but I missed his deadline for Christmas Day. So I'm hoping he's delivering in January.

Heard some lame excuses for losing a game over the years - here's the latest:

" We had just 'four players training' before Barrow" - Michael Flynn, Swindon Town Manager.

Why can't opposing Managers stop making ridiculous excuses like this or the previous week, "their pitch was diabolical" and simply say, "We were beaten by a better team".

Some Managers seem to be embarrassed that they got beat by "shite-team Barrow" (opposition forum).

Totally agree. A Scott Quigley, Andy Cook or Byron Harrison in their hey day is needed. I added a striker to my list to Santa, but I missed his deadline for Christmas Day. So I'm hoping he's delivering in January.

Cook and Quigley wouldn't get into the club under Wild at the moment because they are both difficult characters. We've heard him say often "first, are they decent people, second are they good footballers?"
Byron Harrison maybe, though he could be a bit moody. Not good enough at this level as well.

Excluding two own goals, the 28 league goals we have scored have come from 12 different players.
In my opinion this is better than most of them coming from one person.
If goals from that player dries up, where does that leave you.
Goals from many different players is what won the league for Forest Green Rovers last season and got Leyton Orient promoted.
Both teams top scorer only managed 10 goals.

I believe the clean sheet reward was something that was carried on from his younger days…he’s doing ok out of it now

I meant to say Stevenage and Leyton Orient, last year's promotion teams not Forest Green who got promoted the previous season.
