It was the 4th official. He moved him away from our technical as Adam and Pete were listening in. I think the ref moved him away so he could speak to him (4th official) without interference

Patrick Brough, Josh Gordon and Billy Waters all performed well for us last season, but only Broughy has since.

This for me. All the sniping at Proctor really is calling Pete's judgment into question imo.
As you say, Pete must see something in him.
I don't mind Proctor. He holds the ball up lays it off comes deep too to start moves off and always makes himself available to receive the ball. His goalscoring isn't great but across his career he has never been prolific. The concern for me at the moment is Emile Acquah. He started like a house on fire but his form has dipped. Last week in an interview Pete Wild said Acquah came off at half time in the Bolton B team game not feeling well. It transpired he had not felt well for a few days but said nothing.iWild said that Acquah is a man of few words and its difficult at the best of times to get information from him.

If you think any football manager's judgement on all players is correct then you're living in dreamland. Even the likes of Guardiola and Kopp have brought in players who weren't good enough. However, in their cases, they get rid of them quickly as they have the money to replace them.

“Don’t mind Procter “ what a blaze ,weak statement. The guys a 6 foot plus,striker, who couldn’t score if the goals were 10 metres wide, “ he holds it up, drops deep “ ffs, he’s there to score goals, I could drop deep and lay it off.

He divides opinions that’s for sure but he was brought in to bring experience to the front line of which he has plenty. If you think he was “just” brought in to score goals that hasn’t been the case throughout his career so now at the back end of his career that’s not going to change. Wild obviously sees what he brings to the group both on and off the pitch and in Wild we trust

For as long as there has been a fans’ forum there has always been one player that gets a section of the fans upset. I remember Simon Shaw, Phil Bolland, the right side midfielder who played v Stevenage at Wembley (sorry, memory going) etc etc. oh, and the left full back who got ‘frozen out’. It is Proctor’s turn at the moment.

Agree Nige. Nice flick here and there is no where near good enough.
However I might be wrong but 20 appearances triggers a new deal is what I believe.
Hope I'm wrong

Come on exactly what games are you watching?The criticism is unfortunately warranted but as I said it's not his fault he's being picked!

The criticism of Proctor is because he’s come in from the league above he won’t be on the cheap and he hasn’t offered a lot.
On the back of that he goes and kicks a Sutton player off the ball and lets the team down by getting himself sent off after coming off the bench.
He wonders around the pitch like a carthorse. I hope we don’t see him again for Barrow.
Acquah is still raw and by no means the finished article but the minimum he will give is way above Jamie proctors performances.

Regarding the option on Proctor's contract. Can someone confirm whether this is an open ended option based purely on the willingness of the club to retain him or is subject to any conditions that would see the option automatically triggered?

I've seen this done before and they play such a player for 19 games and then get shut. Only 15 games left this season if we get automatic promotion!

And yet recently when both are available Wild usually selects Proctor or brings him off the bench first
Completely agree Acquah is still learning the game but he himself has been pretty disappointing since those first few months tbh, whether the “homesick” rumours were true in January or not, hopefully he can find his form again
