True :D

I've watched European games on TV with friends - some of whom have never visited Holker Street - and all have stated that they'd come to Holker Street if the atmosphere was only half as good as what they'd witnessed on TV.

The number of casualties on Bonfire Night far exceed any at UK Football Stadiums due to smoke bombs/and or flares.
But of course fireworks are legal  so it doesn't matter.

Even being shown things like this, the selfish [SwearFilter] won't change their minds because they only care about their enjoyment, and nothing about the enjoyment of others or the potential of danger they cause. We have this conversation many times and it won't change them, because they just don't care about others.

Tragic. But an isolated case.

We are talking about smoke bombs and flares inside the ground which the club has a responsibilty for. If you want to be searched every time you go to a game SDS take some bombs yourself and start throwing them around

All the fantastic work the BOD have done putting over a million pounds into the Club to get us in and able to compete at the top of league 2 will be for nothing when you get so called supporters like Sea Dog Sam and Desmond 2-2 saying bringing smoke bombs in to Holker Street makes the atmosphere better well carry on and you can contribute towards the fines the Club will get from the EFL, If I was on the board I would be thinking what's the point.

Keep going the young team. Don’t let these old moaners get you down. Keep bringing the atmosphere and colour.

You lot need to brighten up. You already try and kill them every opportunity you get certain people from the forum running to club officials due to young lads giving some stick over sterile fenced area.

As I’ve said many times you won’t be happy till you’ve driven them out the club. Some future. I bet the owners wonder why they bother and put up with you moaning lot

As usual it’s the main stand racists causing trouble about a little smoke bomb.

Average attendance are up again this season so financially the handful would be no loss to the club

I’d expect that the owners are glad of every spectator, as long as they behave.

Everyone knows the rules.

Pyrotechnics are banned at every football match in this country, for reasons that don’t need repeating.

If you have a different view, and feel strongly about it, why not start a campaign to re-introduce them, and ask the manager and the board of directors to sanction it, and give their support, and see how far you get?

By the way, the blue puff that went off at Morecambe was a pathetic sight.

As far as the “people from the forum are concerned”, I wouldn’t worry too much.
At present we are getting around 3000 to each home game.
The forum has around 50 regular contributors, often at loggerheads amongst themselves.
That’s only 1.6% of those that go to watch, so it would be a mistake to think the forum is representative of the views, conflicting or otherwise, of Barrow support.

At the qna, owner mentioned wanting 4k / 4.5 regularly as it’s an incremental increase which makes a huge difference at the end of the season. Owners lost 700k this season and something like 1.5 mill last year, this doesn’t seem sustainable (no idea how long for) and this new premier league flow down sounded like it would help a lot, but it’s “getting kicked down the road” by the premier league clubs that rejected it. Point is we need all the people through the gates that we can get at the moment.

No problem myself with flares, Morecambe goalie just picked it up and chucked it away (I get there’s certain rules though) but it should have been saved for a draw or a win imo.
