Mark you're spot on we started off with a back 3 and 2 alleged wingbacks where Mahoney and Dallas were playing only they know, luckily we then had to go to a back 4 but even then it was obvious bring foley on at half-time and push Spence further up take Aqua/ Mahoney off or Dallas they were all ineffective But know Clemence changed it too late he doesn't seem to have any tactical nouse, he Has to go!McMark wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 4:43 pmAye Jim but what did he do to change things . It was clear to even a blind man it wasn’t working at halftime. Left it too late for changes when the game was gone. Foley shows real grit and determination when he plays why can’t othersJim wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 4:40 pm I'm not sure how much can be blamed on Clemence. After doing quite well against Bradford, the team just have not turned up today. It was clear from the first 10 minutes that Harrogate were up for it and Barrow were half asleep and they have only played in fits and starts since.
I just don't know what we can do to turn things round, but I am not sure what a new manager could do with the squad either.

Re: Barrow v Harrogate Town, match thread
It’s down to what the board thinks. If Clemence loses this crowd then they will have to act. They have been largely backing the team at home but today was notably different. There were some very frustrated fans at the end. More than a few boos at the end and I’ve not heard that since we came up to L2.
Massively concerning is that Harrogate were better organised as a unit and more energetic - why is that?- that is the concern.

Niall Canavan on with Adam at the moment. Says jobs are on the line unless they get it sorted. No excuses we have to do it. Need to work hard.

Re: Barrow v Harrogate Town, match thread
Harrogate came today knowing that all they had to do was out-battle us and that's exactly what happened!
Garner allowed Mahoney to take the ball off him for the pen, wtf, he's a striker and should be demanding to take the penalty.
I don't understand why Clemence didn't just replace the new lad with Tiensia instead of changing the formation??
He's on very thin ice now I think.

Nialle Canavan totally smashed that interview with Adam.
We've heard nothing like that from SC . Didn't even go over to players when there was a break in play.No motivation what so ever.
The team are a reflection of him. Soft .
I'd be very surprised if he survives this.

If only it was that simple. Unless it's written in a players contract that if they are shit or underperform, there is little the club can do except to continue to pay for dross.bluessupporter wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2025 5:47 pm Niall Canavan on with Adam at the moment. We do have some good players, we have seem them turn up at the start of the season and after a few injuries and depleted squad, they seem to have disappeared!!
We just look defeated and lack leaders that we have always had throughout the years.. it's like nobody knows what they are supposed to do at the moment and I suppose that maybe comes from the top down.. but how has SC gone from top to bottom in such a short space of time?
Is that woods that's been loitering in the dugout quite a bit recently?
Is he the problem? Has he got bigger than his boots and medaling with the footballing side?
Something doesn't add up .

Would be worth a punt to give Nial Canavan the managers job.
