Beat us 2-1 at Holker Street in the National League in 2020Pedro wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 8:27 pmIt was a sicker for Notts County but we have not been beaten by them in recent yearsolbarrafancumbak wrote: ↑Sun Aug 17, 2025 3:41 pm
This made me chuckle.. "peddle your pessimism"![]()
Some people wouldn't be happy if we romped the league on max points and got a golden cup for doing so...!
Don't think we are anywhere near as bad as people make us out to be, almost a new squad, early days, mega temperatures to play in and to be fair, last two games we are showing good signs!
More positives.than negatives imo

Memorable game. We absolutely battered County but could not score. Quigley gets a straight red and County woke up and scored twice.
It was following this game that the footballing world decided that we would bottle the title and Harrogate would be promoted - as we still had to go there.
Then COVID. Football turns to an obsession with PPG. And the rest is history. Ironically our next game following the suspension would have been Wrexham who at the time were teetering on the edge of bankruptcy in terrible form and a probable easy three pointer. How things have changed.

Yes his suspension rolled over to the following seasonMark Johnson wrote: ↑Mon Aug 18, 2025 9:34 am Ah yeah I remember now. Was Quigley suspended for first few League Two games then?
He missed the Derby cup game, the opening league game against Stevenage and the 2nd league game of the season - he was able to play in the EFL trophy game against Blackpool as that comp has different suspension rules
He returned in the 1-1 draw against Colchester
