Barrow AFC.net

Bit of a random question, but can anyone name the Barrow squad that got promoted to the Conference in 1997? I'd have only been 12 then, but can't think of many of the players at all.

Moran?? Who's he?? Can't remember anyone called that being in that squad

Sure we have had a Moran but not that season.

Me neither but according the 'The Definitive...' he played three games up front around Christmas 97

Andy Moran i think it is and i am sure one of his games was Hyde away.

I've just got the yearbook out and it was Steve Moran. I have no recollection of him. We had 30 different players that season.

I do just about remember Steve Moran, just didn't think it was that season. Didn't think we had used that many players in that season either though!

Wasn't there a keeper called Chris Clarke that covered for Farrelly around that time too??

Aye he did. I was at Uni during this period although I got back for a lot of the home matches I can remember virtually nothing of it. If you look at the list below you can see that the author missed Farrelly out altogether. Could have done with a bit more proof reading and makes you wonder how many more mistakes are present.

There are several players in that list that definitely didn't play for us in that season!

It was season 1997-98 when we got promoted and those are apparently the appearances for that period.

Yep, I know. I'm pretty sure its wrong though. Don't think Steve Watt, Neil McAllinden or Ian Leeming played in that season for a start. There are others in there that I don't think did either.
