A6 isn't a great road for all the motorway traffic, plus Swindon are playing at Carlisle so could be a bit more traffic on roads for that. I'd say an extra hour on journey?

If it's so bad, the kick-off time may be delayed.

It's closed for accident investigation work so I guess it'll not reopen for a few more hours? We'll have to wait and see.

From the Bay news-
MAN DIES IN M6 HIT & RUN COLLISION
15th September 2012
A man has died in a collision on the M6 between a van and a car transporter early this morning.
A man in his 50s was thrown from his vehicle in the accident between junctions 35 and 36, at around 5.50am.
The M6 northbound remains closed between junctions 34 and 36 due to the incident.
Police say the incident happened when the van drove into the back of the car transporter, rolling it onto its side.
The van failed to stop at the scene.
A woman - the man's wife - was taken to Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
The couple aren't local.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash
