Mamadou Fofana
Just wondering, is Mamadou Fofana the first Frenchman to play for the Bluebird?
Also, how many other non British/Irish players have we had play for us?

There's been a fair few who have had nationalities in Africa/Caribbean (eg Malvin Kamara who had a Sierra Leone cap I think), but most is not all of these have also been British I presume.

Did I once read in a history of the club that some Argentinians/Brazillians played for us in the 30s? I think they were over working in the shipyard? Wikipedia tells me that Barrow built ships for both navies in the 1930s so that would fit in.

Leo Bertos, played for NZ in the World Cup after turning out for us in the not too distant past. Wasn't Phil Bolland Spanish? Or was that just his style of play?

There was also those two Chinese Lads in the early seventies, one a striker and one a full back. I think they were called Wee Wun Won and Owlong sins.

Seem to remember this story about Argentine sailors who had dropped off a ship and ended up staying in the town and playing for the club. Also remember a story about there being Argentine sailors graves in the cemetery. Cant remember if there was a connection though.
