We also released a number of established squad members too. If we want success that's the price. Just because the postcode on their New Look store card statements says LA14 doesn't mean we have to keep them. If they were good enough they would be here next season. Does highlight the need for a decent reserve set up though.

Was mentioned by one poster on the Chester forum, would be very surprised if it's Hannah as he has another child on way and rumoured to be wanting something closer to his Sheffield home.

"After reading the Ross Hannah chron article, I fear that he may be lured elsewhere for next season.

He stated that his family comes first and is apparently having a second child.

He has offers from elsewhere, and I would imagine the elsewhere offers (rumoured to be Lincoln with interest from Barrow and Wrexham) would be more than what we could afford. And if Lincoln have offered him a contract, the commute will be quicker to his Sheffield home.

Obviously we will know within the next few days but personally i have a bad feeling about missing out on signing him up for next season. Hope i'm wrong."

If we're training somewhere like Hopwood Hall then it's the same commute, roughly, there from Sheffield as it would be to Lincoln.

It is in terms of distance but travelling "over the tops" to Hopwood from Sheffield in the winter would be a lot more arduous than Sheffield to Lincoln.

I just went off google maps travel time rather than distance. M1, M62 was the suggested route rather than slogging over Snake Pass or somesuch.

I see what you mean but even the motorway is a nightmare. If it was me and I was offered the same money/contract and the only determining factor was travel then it would be Lincoln every :) time.
