Must say the Club has really missed out on its commercial side. Pricing should have been better considering the ammount of matches at home from Boxing Day.
Rather have 1500 paying at say £7 than 1000 paying a tenner. Season ticket holders could have a less charge for cup games. Even U11 getting for nothing. But we are Barrow and some things never change.

Who invented the term "Brand Barrow"? Apart from the fact that it rolls off the tongue quite nicely its really meaningless.

We may be wanting to build a brand but clearly we don't have one at the moment as the less than optimum gates, shabby organisational infrastructure and slowly crumbing facilities would suggest. Until the owner identifies a few "brand values" he'd like he club to aspire to the use of "brand" is more likely to be used by those who want to poke fun and snigger (I think that's the inspiration for this thread) so personally I wouldn't use it. The only CN team with any kind of real "brand" is FGR and even that has been used as the butt of a million veggie burger comments.

Paul Cox has been typecast of playing a certain "brand" of football but again its not one that most use in a complementary way. Indeed the PC brand of playing football is usually the thing most frequently commented on by opposition forums whether we win lose or draw. In fact I never knew that the entire community of non-league supporters had such an in-depth knowledge of PCs style of play. Clearly they don't and use the term to mock and to stereotype.

Assuming the question is serious my answer would be that the size of the gate is not directly speaking relevant as Luton, Tranmere and Lincoln might attest. Luton took 6 years to get out of the CN with gates averaging over 6000. Braintree and Dover both reached the play-offs with gates often one-tenth of that. The relevance of the gate comes in the League above where it is much more influential in determining success. So if the question was "Could Brand Barrow's sub-1k gates sustain a League 2 campaign the answer would be - No. As it is, it wont be a factor during the rest of this season except when dangled in front of the noses of anxious home supporters.
