Predictions vs The Wombles

Post by PerthBluebird » Wed Nov 25, 2020 11:00 am

Not a clue myself do we win and progress or do we want it over in 90 mins rest then go hard into the Morecambe game?

Unsure after last night I’m a firm believer in try and win every game but we looked leggy after last night and thats only the standard weekend , mid week fixture run never mind 2 more games with the potential off extra time.
All opinions expressed are my own , not here to cause kick off just enact debate.

It depends on the team we put out. I assume Jason Taylor will be rested. I would like to see Chris Taylor given more time and also see Wilson in the defence. Neither of those would weaken the side IMO. Assuming Barry is out, play Brown on the right and Kay on the left? Or possibly experiment with 4 at the back as some have suggested?

Dixon
Brown Platt Wilson Brough
Jones
Taylor C. Biggins
James. Kay
Quigley

Just an idea. Why not?
Unless we rest loads for the league. Then who knows
We hate Carlisle United, we hate Workington too (and Morecambe), we hate Accrington Stanley but Barrow we love you :scarf:

No idea of our team selection or Wimbledons team selection so who knows. I've backed us every game this season but after Tuesday i can see us getting beat 3-0 unless lads brought in (if any) probe a point to be in the squad for next match. I'd like a cup run rsp if fans can come back but i think its too many games in thr space of a week for us to cope

Dunn would be insane to risk too many "first teamers ", the league has to be apriority also it risks more injuries playing first teamers, their muscles need time to rest, we cannot afford any more injuries because then we really would be up the creek!

I never predict football matches but I have seen Wimbledon recently and one thing for sure is that thay have much better footballers than Oldham! Whether they or us play a full team or not is another matter.

Taylor needs a rest although Cowps knows who replaces him as the ball winner in midfield. Give Wilson another 90 minutes, see if he’s the answer in defence. Dior up top with Quigley

For me, this is a bit of a free hit IMO.
Popular side since '03.

Looks like the players have stayed in town which makes sense, as they’re practising at Furness rovers today, couldn’t see Barry though in the pics, think he’ll be a big loss, think we might draw and it’ll go to penalties

need to rest what david dunn considers as his 1st team , the league is by far more important, on that basis i would pick following team for tonight ( and i do think 1st team places are up for grabs )

Lillis

zouma hird kozzy

brown c taylor gribbin kay

sea reid
