Amadi-Holloway Starts For Bluebirds At Newport

Mark Cooper has made four changes to his starting line-up for this afternoon’s Sky Bet League Two game against Newport County at Rodney Parade (3pm kick-off).

New signing Aaron Amadi-Holloway goes straight in to make his Bluebirds debut after joining on loan from Burton Albion and he will be partnered in attack by Luke James who earns a recall.

The Bluebirds boss has restored Tom Beadling to the starting eleven after he completed a three-match suspension, while Anthony Glennon returns from injury to start against The Exiles.

On the bench, Cooper is boosted by the availability of George Williams who is back involved for the first time in nearly three months after recovering from a fractured collarbone.

A few missing but solid enough looking team wingbacks will have to work hard today.

I am a bit surprised that James is up front rather than Harriw. It would have been great to see whetehr Holloway and Harris could work together. However, I guess that James will do better closing down and harrassing the opposition.

Tbh the way we’ve been setting up recently works better away from home anyway. Doubt you’ll be seeing much in the way of attacking football from us

I agree perhaps the 2 games took a lot out of Harris, who knows

Why cry about not having strikers for 6 months then sign two of em not play them then recall a striker who’s barely kicked a ball all season

Agree that Harris will feel slightly unlucky to be on the bench, not done a lot wrong imho

More worried if Farman gets injured with having no keeper on the bench for the first time this season.
