How is James Jones being offered a new contract?

Platt gone elsewhere.... rumours were true, good to see a few names cut and hopefully saving a wage bill, James Jones though?????

AFC can now confirm its retained list following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Sky Bet League Two season.

We have offered new contracts and remain in negotiations with the following players and more news will be confirmed in due course:

James Jones
Scott Moloney

A new contract was also offered to Matt Platt, but unfortunately terms could not be agreed.

The following players have been released at the end of their contracts and the Club would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them well in the future:

Tom Beadling
Mike Jones
Kgosi Ntlhe
Dimitri Sea
George Williams

We would also like to thank and offer our best wishes to the following players who were with us on loan at the end of 2021/22 and will now return to their parent clubs:

Aaron Amadi-Holloway
Anthony Glennon
Will Harris
Jacob Wakeling

Conner Brown ?

That still leaves us with a squad of about 20 if terms are agreed with Jones and Moloney.

I can't see the squad list any more. Can anyone give us a list of those contracted for next season?

Taylor and Llis going to keep playing?

19 - if both of those sign and Taylor and Lillis keep playing which i doubt.
I do expect some contracted players might move on though - but who and how many is anyones guess...
