After a wee hiatus, Give 'Em Beans, the Barrow fanzine, is back! A new team of writers, along with some familiar faces, has produced the first edition in years.

Look out for the first new edition, which will be on sale outside the ground before the Port Vale game. Grab your copy and support local football culture!
We are proud of what we have produced and hope it is up to the standards set by the previous custodians and founders.

We’ve got long reads, features and a nice dash of the traditional Beans humour. If you pick up a copy, we hope you enjoy it and we’d love to hear your feedback.

Are you a budding writer or artist, are you Referee McFuddle? We are already looking for contributions for our second edition. If you would like to get involved, please get in touch. From one article to a regular features, we’re all Barra aren’t we.

Yes, £2.00. They’ll be sellers around the ground on the 24th and games throughout August and September (for this particular edition) who’ll accept cash, card and cans of lager.

Just a quick thank you to all those that picked up a copy of Give ‘Em Beans yesterday, they flew off the shelves and the feedback from everyone has been amazing and shown that there’s lots of life in the old fanzine yet!

Was great to see lots a Port Vale fans pick up copies as well.

For those that missed out, it’ll be back on sale Tuesday night against Derby, so keep your eyes out for our sellers before the game. We’re also looking at a couple of permanent stockist in town, announcements soon.

Options are being explored for mail order for both UK and oversees supporters, so bear with us and we’ll get some news out on that soon.

… And don’t forget, we’d love to hear from any of you that would like to contribute to the next edition. It was a small group that pulled this edition together to get it off the ground but we really need as many people as possible to get involved to sustain this wonderful Barrovian institution.
