New signings
Might as well start a transfer rumour thread. I’m presuming with our Manager’s Solihull connections we maybe targeting some of their players over the next few weeks. Anyone got any names they’d like to throw into the mix ?
Re: New signings
Poster on their forum reckons we are linked with striker Jack Stevens and former Burnley academy and Mansfield defender Jamie Clarke. Probably just speculation of course.

Re: New signings
The speculation about Stevens was always going to happen because he followed the manager from Banbury to Solihull too.

Re: New signings
Stevens signed a new contract at Solihull last month , unlikely to get him unless we are paying big bucks.
Football league world says we are interested in Cameron Green
I’ve heard we are in for Harrison Burke from Chester

Quick google suggests burkes off to stoke. Stevens will cost big money.BarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 11:58 am Stevens signed a new contract at Solihull last month , unlikely to get him unless we are paying big bucks.

Re: New signings
Any truth that Pressley is joining us? Be a good one to have as an option
Re: New signings
A striker who could be available for free with given circumstances is Manny Dieseruvwe at Hartlepool. 6'5" he has scored 40 goals over the last two seasons having previously been part of both Salford and Grimsby teams promoted to the EFL.He is out of contract this summer but the problem lies with 'Pools owner/chairman Raj Singh resigning and no new contracts are on the table until a buyer is found.

Re: New signings
Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Wages wise the Carlisle players would be a big hit but our northern neighbours must be so desperate to trim their hugely expensively assembled squad maybe they’d help part finance some moves. Just a thought.

Re: New signings
From the sounds of BBCRC texters and callers, Carlisle would be glad if we signed some of their players. I would steer clear. There are bound to be one or two gems but I would rather get players who did well in the league below than players that have struggled in the same leagueFanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 9:53 pm Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Callum Guy or Sam Lavelle I wouldn’t say no from Carlisle.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 9:53 pm Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Re: New signings
James Phillips on a free perhaps. Lummy could be part on the meet and greet team. Build up some rapport with the hardcore fan base.BarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 10:31 pmCallum Guy or Sam Lavelle I wouldn’t say no from Carlisle.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 9:53 pm Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Re: New signings
Callum Guy I would take but not Lavelle. One ex Carlisle player I would take would be CH Morgan Feeney who is out of contract at ShrewsburyBarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 10:31 pmCallum Guy or Sam Lavelle I wouldn’t say no from Carlisle.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sat May 03, 2025 9:53 pm Although they’ve both been relegated is there anyone at Morecambe or Carlisle we could recruit ? Re: New signings
Nick Haughton from Fylde might be worth a look;- he's 30 now and got 19 goals and 10 assists (from midfield) in a team that got relegated. He's been at Fylde for 7 years now and if he doesn't go to the league now he never will.... Fylde's relegation might make his mind up for him.
He signed a 2 year deal in May 2023 so will be out of contract at the end of the season.
