Just on my way to asda and noticed the floodlamps have disappeared of the pylons - anyone know what's happening ?

I remember that it was mentioned that the club were installing LED bulbs benefits include energy efficiency, reduced maintenance costs, and improved lighting quality.

I was under the impression that they could be lowered for maintenance - or a meringue?

I have just passed the ground and one set of the new lights have been fitted.

Installing red led lights so when a player passes it backwards the ground glows red and the popular side shout. Ger it bloody forward will ya

All the new LED lights are stored under the stand.
It’s odd but I remember the first night match I went to when the ones Paul Casson bought were switched on and the difference between them and the previous ones was huge! Apparently these will be another massive step up again.

Hopefully these will be much better. Half the bulbs weren’t working for a big part of last season and the lighting at night matches was shocking for an EFL ground.

Those people who moved into those houses knew they were going to be living next to a soccer stadium. They and others should be aware that situations can change in terms of stadium development, floodlighting, traffic etc. It would be naive in the extreme to expect otherwise.

It’d all about the “ lux” value of the lighting. I’m not sure what the current value is but the club were told they would need planning permission if they wanted to increase the lux value of the initial installation in future years. Hopeful the club are using this opportunity to fill the gaps in the stand canopies so those using the stands are better protected from the elements

Apparently, they reduce wind load on the roofs.
