Final score Barrow 1 Rochdale 0. A Kane Hemmings penalty in the 87th minute after Jack Earing was brought down. Commentary by Andy with new summariser Craig Rutherford.

Got to say lack lustre 1st half, looked slightly better 2nd half but hardly any chances created today (think 1 actual shot at goal)
Don't like Jackson on the right side of the pitch. Still missing a no9

Innes Cameron is going to bust a gut for us week in week out thatâs a cert. Harper looked good in patches other than that our midfield just couldnât get going. We rode our luck first half. Left a bit bored With 20 mins to go. Iâm sure Andy Whing has plenty to ponder over this week.

Lack of pace all over the pitch but most importantly at the back is a huge concern for me!

Well thatâs pre season done. Time will tell if this team can progress on last season. 5/6 games in is usually the early marker.
It is a concern when reading these match reports that we donât seem sharp or âleft because I was boredâ.
Whoâs gonna score the goals regularly remains the big question.
Roll on the proper stuff

Agree, no pace at all in the team.

That's been a problem for many seasons.

Is it me but I got the impression the manager sounded a bit down and frustrated today

He doesn't sound happy at all. Not good to hear Whing say we are âsluggishâ in the final pre season run out. If we donât step up in urgency and cut out sloppiness on the ball we are going to get rolled over by Chesterfield.

The comments from todayâs game remind me why I never attend friendlies. They are all about getting 90 minutes in the legs. Players never play with the intensity they do in league games and managers try things in friendlies that they wouldnât try in a normal league game. Judge us after ten games is what I say.

Wholeheartedly agree. In Whing we trust.
