Rumours..and everything inbetween

Post by beachy01 » Wed Dec 31, 2025 7:12 pm

Hearing some interesting things at the moment id just like to share in a thread....

Manager/coach sorted, announcement incoming

Players have really taken to the new assistant coach, alot more so than the interim coach, make of that what you will

Change of training base sometime in the not to distant future to UCLAN at Preston

No transfer rumours atm bar AC, although i do here a certain Mr Stocktons name being mentioned. Do we think there will be a few outgoings this window? If so who?

This does not surprise me as the contract with FC United does end at the end of this season and the grass training pitch gets that waterlogged we can barely use it from end of October to March so they train on the 3G pitch.

I remember watching one of these fly on the wall documentaries a while ago at a club, I forget which one and the manager there said one of the first questions a player ask when a club is interested in him is "what are the training facilities like" and then they want to see them as after all that will be their place of work most of the time.

I've heard they are looking for a new boiler for the Crossbar facility which isn't Ideal.

I can’t see any way we could afford Cook and Stockton if we can’t afford to let Jon Brady have his own coaching staff…..

I don’t buy this we are skint narrative. Owners have plenty of cash for us to be competitive in this league. Yes we don’t have the money to splash big transfer fees but we pay decent wages to attract good loans and free agents. I bet Charlie McCann isn’t on pennies

McCann was without a club for 3 months until we offered him lifeline. There was not exactly a host of clubs knocking at his door to sign him up. Id expect some movement out to free up some cash before we see much movement on incomings.

How have u worked that one out 😂😂

Brady plus staff, or 1 of those players on loan (we wouldnt get both)

Outlay on a loan player is no where near a manager and whole staff

What if the scenario is Brady is not willing to travel so far North.
Who would the next option be🤔

The security of three years will have swayed it more than the salary. I would be suprised if he gets half of what Mahoney probably gets
