Adam Johnson 500

No it’s not the name of a new rail project to bring ultra high speed trains across the bay to Barrow it’s a milestone for our own Adam. This Saturday the Notts County v Barrow match will be his 500th commentary. A great milestone indeed!
For Barrow exiles such as myself, who cannot get to as many Barrow games as I would like to, Adam is one of our vital links to all things Barrow AFC. From match commentaries on Radio Cumbria (via iFollow) to the podcasts on BBC Sounds he is a passionate and welcome ‘Barra accent’ that reminds us of home and keeps us informed on what is going on at our great club.
Congratulations Adam, well done and keep up the great work!

Many congratulations Adam on reaching 500 not out. Your commentaries are manna from heaven when we can’t get to watch a game and you also provide a vital link between the club hierarchy and the supporters. Some might say you are the glue in a badly put together model, but unlike yourself I couldn’t possibly comment.

Your knowledge and enthusiasm is perfect, and it’s a pleasure to listen when you are commentating.
Also your questions when interviewing are clear and pertinent.

No matter where we be up and down the country you can be sure of one thing AJ will be in your ears throughout the football season and these days beyond. Great effort bud and keep living the dream.

Couldn't agree more, you are the lifeblood for all exils and other Barrow supporter, even a old man such as myself l can't wait to read or listen to your words of wisdom on line or in the local press.
How good are you ? Just listen to another broadcaster by accident ( l'm sure we all know one or two, sorry no shouting out the answers !!! ) and you will soon realise you are one of the best ' better than all the rest' I'm sure that would make a great title for a song.

Congratulations Adam a great milestone to be reach and you do a great job I’m sure if we were to make a highlights reel I’m sure CONOR MAHONEY !!!! At Wimbledon would be in there here’s to the next 500

Yep, echo all the congrats, some achievement and man that’s gone by quickly. Been some great stand out moments. Here’s to the next 500 and lets hope it is on some of out most successful dates still to come.

Fabulous achievement - well done Adam
Amazing at what you do and the passion and enthusiasm for the club is there to see but always keep it so professional I’d bs crying watching some of those games
