I stopped posting some time ago. However in light of recent posts on this subject , and further to Richard's post, I thought I should make an exception and offer some thoughts. I was responsible for the legal advice given to the Trust Board regarding the matter of the unreconciled transactions. I us...

The Financial Conduct Authority is the registrar for registered societies, including community benefit societies such as the Bluebird's Trust

The short answer is that the Board of the Trust is called a Board because that's what it is and the Directors are called Directors because that is what they are. The longer answer is that the Trust is registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act ( No. 32452R ) and , as such , its affa...

I've borrowed Exile's login. On behalf of the Hong Kong Supporters and in thanks for the super welcome we received on Tuesday evening, I would like to donate £100 to the sponsored hitch.

All the best for this season,

Reservations added. Rich passed me his list. Which means I get to choose the " pre-music " as it's apparently known in the cinema business. So that'll be a choice between Lindisfarne and The Strawbs then.

Tonight at Cooke's Studios, 104 Abbey Road ( next to the Duke of Edinburgh ). Kickoff 7.45, turnstiles open at 7.30, £2 only. Around 30 reservations so far, so still a fair few seats left if you just turn up. Likely to be a bit of a gathering in the Duke beforehand - they do a two for the price of o...

54 seats in cinema-style rows, plus another six places that can be " squeezed in" . Digital surround sound system with a decent-sized screen. Film is 104 minutes. No reason not to have a five minute half-time break if that is the consensus on the evening.

7.45 pm - same time as a midweek game .

Under Rule 79 of the Rules of the Barrow AFC Independent Supporters Society Limited the Chair is appointed by the Trust Board. These Rules were reviewed and apporoved by the Financial Conduct Authority ( FCA). In t...

Congratulations and thanks for taking this on. Best of luck. Don't forget the tie you'll now have to wear on match days.

I thought the team, whilst not displaying outright passion, played with a greater degree of commitment than at Fylde. I didn't sense that ou...

Good cause that. Obviously, it would be wholly inappropriate to approach a match against the egg chasers in a competitive spirit...............er..........so I'll donate £20 if we win £ 10 for the first of our bowlers to take three wickets or more £10 for the first of our batsmen to score more than ...

I'll take a month.

I'm not sure to which archives Sharon is referring, but the Barrow Archives at 140 Duke Street have microfiched copies of the Evening Mail and the Barrow News for those years - meaning a complete daily and twice-weekly report on the Club's matches and activities generally. Not easy to read and you c...

Elaine, Tommy ( Barrowabc) and I have agreed to do a shift tomorrow (Thursday) as this works better for him.We can take a break from plastering to shift the paving stones and cladding then. Don't try on your own - I had a try yesterday and it was too much for me to tackle - two man job, at least , a...
