Calling any business owners
As some of you may or may not know I'm a community first responder with the north west ambulance service.
We're kind of like the ambulance equivalent of special constables or auxiliary firemen. We go on call in our spare time and are trained, equipped & dispatched alongside ambulance crews to attend to serious life threatening emergencies in our area. The idea being if an ambulance is tied up or someone needs help faster we can get help to them quicker. Incidents we respond to include cardiac arrests, strokes, diabetic attacks and much more.
Although we're voluntary we still need to fund certain things ourselves, one being our GPS airwaves pagers which we use to link with ambulances and the control room, to be sent to jobs.
These pagers cost around £18 a month which equates to just £4 a week, and could potentially help save someone's life in our area
I was wondering if there were perhaps any businesses (or even wealthy individuals!) out there who'd be interested in sponsoring one of our pagers?
We can't offer alot in return due to patient confidentiality etc but could offer a free "heartstart" course to all staff, teaching you basic life support and CPR skills etc? Be good to say your staff are all trained in basic life support and would also be good PR! Not to mention you or one of your staff or family might one day need our help yourself!
If anyone is interested and would like to find out more please drop me a message.
Alternatively if any individual likes the sound of what we do but couldn't commit to sponsoring £18 a month feel free to get in touch and chip in a little... if 12 people put 18 quid in that would pay for one for a year!
Cheers

If we can get another eleven I'll sponsor one month.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Hey guys,
I had a months worth donated via PayPal last night off another forum member, which was fantastic, so if we could get another 9 we could even sponsor one as barrowafc.net which would be fantastic
