Re: Hospitality V MK

Was in the Fred Else yesterday, which had 4 full tables, but one of the rooms was completely closed, which agreed isn’t a great sign. Been 18 months since I was last in Hospitality and do have to say the food was significantly better than last time, if not a bit of a random plateful. Agreed on the c...

Re: Where Do You Come From Thread

Born and bred Barrovian, but now living in Canada. Not by design, but ended up living in a town over here named after a boat built in Barrow! Early memories of Holker street include the Enfield semi final and South Liverpool and the non-league greats of Cowps, Jabba and a mustachioed Andy Whittaker....

Re: Multi Year Deal From Canada

It’s a fair question Jonty, one I think we are all intrigued to get the answer to. Objectively it does appear to be an odd pairing.

Re: Multi Year Deal From Canada

Newfoundland has a lot of similarities to Barrow in that it is somewhat of an outpost compared the rest of its surroundings. Its people are renowned for being friendly and full of character. Also an area of Canada oft overlooked for its natural beauty while big cities get the tourist monies. Newfies...

Aye, heard he was down at the NEC this week with his staff at the National Groundsmen convention. Any idea which club was sniffing around?

Vote ends at 4pm today so get cracking.

Re: Ian Evatt

Thought the Evatt poster sales might need boost https://i.ibb.co/cQHgcYf/Add-Text-06-29-10-04-30.png I did laugh at this, as when the shop was advertising the original with free postage did think to myself ‘wonder why they are pushing these specifically’ not actually expecting this current outcome.

Re: Ian Evatt

Got to respect what he built and achieved over the last couple of seasons. As others have said though he was always likely to move on and saw us as a stepping stone. Shame he wanted out so quickly.

We move on, onwards and upwards.

Holty piece starts around 7:30 into the podcast and runs for about 30 mins.

Good mention of us at the start and an interesting listen overall.

Cheers for the recommendation

Re: When is it official? - When do get to hold the trophy?

Probably once it is ratified by the FA council, same reason some bookies haven’t paid out, as discussed in the Pay Upp thread.

...but it’ll be a glorious day nonetheless!
