Not sure Jamie lad, but looked like he had training gear on. I thought we'd recalled him.

One of those players that appear every now & then that has a talent but chooses to waste it.
Alarm bells must have been ringing when he never turned up for so many pre-season friendlies due to "personal commitments"...........not the best way to impress your new club.
That's where we are at the moment, take a punt on this type of player & hope they prove their previous employer wrong, otherwise ship em out.

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Obi Anoruo Joins Hinckley On Loan
Which pre-season friendlies did he not turn up for?? I thought he was at them all once he'd signed for us (which was quite early in pre-season).

You've got me thinking now, am I getting mistaken with the other lad we've just let go? I was pretty certain it was Anoruo though because did he not also have a bit of a problem with Wrexham?Kieran wrote:Which pre-season friendlies did he not turn up for?? GT help me out here, who was the lad we were talking about possibly being trouble? (when we bumped into each other in Tesco before the first game of the season)

Re: Obi Anoruo Joins Hinckley On Loan
Don't think he had problems at Wrexham, I could be wrong though. I thought him leaving them was purely football reasons.
He missed a couple of friendlies through injury, but he was still present at those games if memory serves.

Re: Obi Anoruo Joins Hinckley On Loan
Think he missed the Bolton friendly for 'family' reasons.
Re: Obi Anoruo Joins Hinckley On Loan
Sent back to Barrow in disgrace apparently!
I think he might end up getting the Mukendi treatment unless he's borrowed Andy Nicholas' brass neck!

Where is he?
Never at games?
Never named on team sheets / subs bench?
I smell a story....

Fair question. Does anyone have an answer?

Re: Obi Anoruo Joins Hinckley On Loan
My source tells me that Obi told his gaffer at Hinckley he was still training at Barrow who then contacted DB to find out he wasn't. Sorry it's not anything that interesting...

If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

It's odds-on he's been sacked.
That would save them money.
Even easier than saving Shezza's wages.

That was Mukendi's trick, not Anoruo!Eric Cartman wrote:My source tells me that Obi told his gaffer at Hinckley he was still training at Barrow who then contacted DB to find out he wasn't. Sorry it's not anything that interesting...

I've heard from the Hinckley end so read into that how you will...
