I have a still image taken slightly earlier (just as the ball was played) and the scorer definitely looks to be behind our second defender. Anyway it wouldn't have affected the result - we would still have lost, the way we were playing.

Agree about the referee, he seemed to be one of those who doesn't want players talking to him and gives cards for dissent for the slightest bit of back chat.

That was as close as I could get it, so we're talking two frames, the width of a mouse head apart (ie 1/24th of a second, if your video camera is fairly standard) to decide whether it was onside or offside... I'd say that's probably close enough for benefit of the doubt to go to the attacker.

We've had enough of those borderline offsides go against us that we probably deserve one. And besides, our 2nd goal would still have beaten you ;-)

As I said before the better team won on the day no sour grapes here ;)

'mouse head' apart - can't you ever forget that you work in Diametrical Control on the Subs?

That ref liked dishing out the cards. What was Hurst booked for?

Time wasting, according to the Radio Cumbria commentary.

Not guaranteed to be on but it may be worth setting your PVR for Sgorio at 22:00 tonight on S4C although I think they only cover WPL matches nowadays. Available in England, Scotland and NI on Freesat (120) Sky (134) and Virgin TV (167). If you have line of sight to a Welsh transmitter your Freeview box may have found it and stored it in the 300s or 800s depending on make of box. In Wales S4C is on Freeview (4) Freesat (104) Sky (104) Vigin Cable (167) but if you are in Wales you probably know that! May also be available later online.
Newport v Barrow was the last game featured.
With comments afterwards, it was on for about 7 minutes.
Excellent quality picture.

I'm the Newport County cameraman who filmed Saturday's match and would like to reply to the " unbiased ediiting" comment made earlier - as mentioned we have two video cameramen and two radio commentators who cover all our matches home and away and we are all County supporters/volunteers. From my own perspective, I try to inlcude all the main incidents in a match in a 10 - 15 mins package - the goals, near-misses, saves ,bookings, ect. Obviously, to try and get this into a short edit must leave out the main flow of the game - as has already been mentioned, Barrow had the majority of the possession Saturday and deserved to win but, especially in the second half it was the defensive capabilities of your side I believe that won the match and, apart from the second goal there were'nt many incidents as an attacking force to show - similarly we were pretty awful in the first half and I hope I reflected this in the edit! - we do try to get a balanced view of each game ( even when we lost 0-5 at home to FGR!) and, obviously,we are going to be favouring our side slightly for our supporters - no different to any local paper report . Anyway, hope you enjoyed the edit - having been to Holker Street for each of the past three seasons you've always made me welcomed - and all the best for the rest of the season.

Glyn Neale

P.S. - Justin Edinburgh is happy to show all our highlights, both the good and the bad - which is more than can be said for a lot of managers in this league!!

It was top rate coverage, I thought; far better than what we normally get from either home games or from other away venues. It was especially welcome as I decided not to travel to the game at the last minute because I thought that, even if it was on, we'd get hammered. Wrong decision! Well done to all concerned, including countyexile for posting the link on this thread.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

IMO worst keeper we've had for some time. Good shot stopper but, like you say, unreliable with crosses. He makes me feel nervous every time the opposition punts a high ball into our penalty area. God knows how nervous he makes our defence feel! Not good for filling the back 4 with confidence...
