Re: New Merch - opinions
Personally. I don't like either of the suggested designs.
We don't even have street signs like that in Barrow. For me it just looks like a snide copy of some dodgy West Ham/Fulham/Crystal Palace etc badge.
The second one is a image and to complex for a pin badge.
Need summit simple and stylish I think. I'd be happy to suggest some options. All the barrow pins I have I never wear because i think they are to big and look shit. Be nice to have one that I'd want to wear like as I do wear pins badges alot

We can order small amounts and we want to try different designs to keep it fresh.

Aye i suppose the design isnt too important at the moment, just seeing if theres enough interest. Maybe people could knock up some designs/ideas if they dont like the first idea.Uncle Peter wrote:I'm open to any ideas, just post them up and I'll look into it.sempre contigo wrote:Personally. Rich, I have a 100 years at Holker Street pin badge form 2009 and it looks fine. It might give you an idea. I could show it you on Saturday if it helps. I also have one from when we played down at AFC Wimbledon in 2020-11. It's a double pin with both Wimbledon and Barrow AFC. It looks good. They pre made them for each home game for the away fans to buy, if you see what I mean.

I have the 100 years at HS one too GT so I know the sort of thing you are on about. Personally I like those old traditional types of things. Something for Pete to look at if a good design comes up. The last lot similar to those were the 2 very similar badges, one with a white ring on the edge, the other in blue.GTBLUE wrote:Rich, I have a 100 years at Holker Street pin badge form 2009 and it looks fine. I have to wonder though, are game specific badges worth the effort? For the bigger cup games perhaps but I wouldnt think we have the potential market to make it worthwhile on a regular basis. AFC Wombles do of course, and also their "journey" through the leagues made for more memorable occassions worthy of celebration with a new badge.
Re: New Merch - opinions
Not keen on the first design - as someone mentioned, that's a London street sign. I like the idea though, if we can get something a little more personal to the club I'd go for it.
Ste, any chance of you throwing together a vector black-on-blue+white (you know the striped "sunburst" style I mean?) silhouette of Holker Street stand(s) and floodlights?
ie this

in the style of this

with a background of this

But less shit.

Re: New Merch - opinions
How about a range of badges depicting heroes from the hundred years at holker street.
Blackburn do something like this for example I have a pin badge which is the head of jack walker with his name underneath, could do something similar with say ray Wilkie, cowps, kenny Lowe etc
Just a suggestion mind

That looks fantastic. When I look at this badge it reminds me of the northern soul logo, now I've got some cracking memories at them nights!
