Marsh parts ways with Rovers

Forest Green Rovers and Phil Marsh have parted ways, with the striker's contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Marsh, 26, joined Forest Green in May from Stalybridge Celtic in the Blue Square Bet North but has been unable to get a foothold in Rovers' match-day

Philip "Phil" Marsh (born 15 November 1986) is an English footballer who plays for Forest Green Rovers, he plays as a striker.

He started his career at Manchester United where he played one game in the League Cup against Crewe Alexandra, before moving down the ladder to join Blackpool. He later moved into non-league football, joining Northwich Victoria in 2008. Later that year he had a short spell with Conference North side Hyde United before leaving after only making five appearances, joining Leigh Genesis where he stayed until March 2009 before being released and subsequently joining FC United of Manchester where he spent a season before moving back to Tameside to join Stalybridge Celtic at the start of the 2010–11 season, finishing his first year at Stalybridge as the club's top goalscorer. In the summer of 2012 Marsh signed for Forest Green Rovers.

He's signed for Guiseley. Only reason he was allowed to tear up his contract was providing he didn't join another BSP club

I cant think who said it on the radio yesterday, but I thought I heard someone say that they are going to use the emergency loan window that opens for seven days from tomorrow if they cant get anyone in beforehand.I think I've got this right-cant be sure though.

New signing

Says a lot about our pulling power in the transfer market. Lots of ifs and buts on the official statement. One to make up numbers on the bench?

Absolute shocker of a signing!

I probably have more names in my little black book that Bayliss has in his contact book if that's the best he can come up with!
