According to RC there's a precautionary pitch inspection this morning.

They also report that Wukkington eh game is going ahead tonight, following a pitch inspection yesterday.

Minus 3 degrees passing the ground at 7-00 this morning.
The sun is out though in a cloudless sky.
It depends how warm it gets (5 or 6 degfees forecast) and whether the pop side has been covered.
Expect most of the groung to thaw, but not the stand side which is always in the shade.
Fingers crossed though.

Hopes For County Game Going Ahead

There will be a 1.30pm pitch inspection ahead of tonight's relegation six pointer with Stockport County.

The club are hopeful that if the foreacast of five degrees for several hours today proves correct, the frozen surface will soften sufficiently to allow the game to go ahead.

The area that caused the Macclesfield cup tie to be called off late was in full sun at 8am and there are not as many shaded areas in March.

The result of the inpsection will be online here by 1.45pm

My man at the ground says they are telling Stockport to travel. There is a 2ft strip which the sun has not yet got to but the sun is still moving round and they expect it to thaw. The match ref will make a decision when he arrives at 5.30 ish.

High Hopes For County Game Going Ahead Following Inspection

Following a lunchtime pitch inspection there are high hopes of tonight's relegation six pointer with Stockport going ahead.

The match referee, Declan Ford, is giving the game every chance with the temperature of five degrees for several hours and sunshine, thawing the frozen surface.

There are still a few small areas in the shade that are hard, but these are flat and near the touchline and given the forecast and current temperature, these should thaw sufficiently in the six hours before kick-off.

As with all games the referee will recheck conditions on his arrival at the ground, around 6pm.

At the moment yes but as it says above the match referee has the final say when he makes his inspection at around 6 o'clock.
