Pre season
Not much else to discuss!
Im hoping we can get some decent friendlies, none of this blackburn womens under 19s rubbish. Get teams in our own league, league below to give us a good test. Likes of FC United, Chorley, Alty, whoever. Decent northern teams hopefully one or two away. Darlo would be good aswell after the last match we had with them.
Hopefully we can find the front door key this summer as it seemed to be lost last summer, get some decent cheapish merchandise on sale, shirts before the start of the season, get abit of buzz about the club for once.
All depending on if we have a club, board, players and manager of course...

Re: Pre season
Yeah
Darlo would be very good. Fantastic supporters who we warmed to. Only need northern teams from say manchester/liverpool and north of. Sides who will test us and not make us run around headless.
We will still have a team but in what division and with what management only the gods will know
Bayliss may well have to play on his own therefore his tactics will work cos only he will know what they are

Re: Pre season
Chorley away would be a laugh.
As we aren't flush the annual call for games away fro these shores will go even more unanswered than usual
If it's Skelts, mad Borders tour please. Annan, Selkirk, Gala, Hawick.

Re: Pre season
Wouldn't play sides in our own League (BSN),apart from the usual suspects (Lancaster, Morecambe, Carlisle), would like Chester FC (seeing as they are up), Darlington would be wonderful, Penrith (now that Matt Henney's there), maybe the 1861 Northwich (the supporter-backed side for Northwich), and a couple of local FL sides (bringing their first-teams if poss) - Blackpool and Preston and maybe the Man City Development Squad again.Steeley wrote:I'm hoping we can get some decent friendlies, none of this blackburn women's under 19s rubbish. Lancaster away on a Friday night. Morecambe and Carlisle at home. Then Darlington, Chester and FC United at home (good tests againsts teams who'd bring a few fans) Away games at Fleetwood, Fylde, Chorley

Nooooooooo, I don't think I'd be able to stomach that, not the way our fortunes have gone in seperate directions over the last few years.HenneysKnee wrote:Away games at Fleetwood
Jealous, you bet!
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
