We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Re: Gareth arnison
This is all very encouraging ... players with a proven record of success in this division are being recruited .
Let's just hope there are no 'skeletons in the directors financial cupboards' to scupper what could turn out to be the piecing together of an exciting team.

Re: Gareth arnison
The intent shown by baylis is what I'm most happy with,
Want to say well done to the club for sticking by Baylis
As he's showing that we're going to give it a good go,
I have massive hope and the team he's putting together
Is showing he wants to do well,
My fear is we could be top end of league and it could be to
Soon for us,don't get me wrong I want us up there
But don't want us going back up till the club is in better
Nick money wise,
There's loads of stuff happening in and around the place
And I'm happy to be a part of that
Where moving forward and it's all good
Well done to the club things are going to grate for us

Yeah I'm mildly optimistic of a decent season but hope the crowds don't get on anyone's back if we take a few games to gel with it being a brand new side. Players proven at the level is the biggest positive and off field seems much more pro active than last. Very early in the close season but not goin to badly so far IMHO but I'm not over reacting still think top ten will be decent

I think we can assume we're currently embargo free! The Chief wrote:off field seems much more pro active than last.
Re: Gareth arnison
Considering the budget we supposedly have, I'm very pleasantly surprised by the quality of proven players DB has managed to get in so far and he has obviously sold the club very well. If the next few signings (hopefully some defenders and midfielders) are of similar ilk, then we are certainly showing our intent for the coming season. Long way to go but we could be in for some fun. Now where did I put my season ticket money?

Re: Gareth arnison
Well as long as he doesn't play him up front by himself thirty yards ahead of the rest of the Team, the lad might be able to score twenty for us as wellBarrowabc wrote:The intent shown by baylis is what I'm most happy with,

Some unhappy people on the Workington forum.
One poster upset Arnison has come to "Nasty club" Barrow.
We're arrogant as well!
