Agm again
Agm again
Sorry, but can anyone confirm that this is definitely not going ahead on Thursday. I'm presuming not as no official notices have been received (if they have I haven't received one), and I need to unorganise child care.

Re: Agm again
I would say it's a pretty safe bet that it's not going ahead.
Start "unorganising"

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Agm again
Thanks. I know unorganising is a bit of a strange way to put it but said child care comes from haverigg so if they don't have to make a wasted trip all the better!

At the meeting on 3rd May at the Crossbar, the date for the AGM was given as Thursday 20 June. I was there and wrote the date straight into my diary. I've heard nothing to say that it isn't taking place. An update from someone in the know would be helpful. Please ?

Re: Agm again
The worrying thing about this is that if we don't submit our accounts (year ending 30 June 2012) to Companies House by 30 June the club will be fined £1,500. At a time when the club desperately need cash we don't want to be getting fined because the club can't get their accounts sorted yet again. With this deadline I'd have hoped all the stops would be pulled out to get them done before June 30 so that the fine will only be £750? http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk/about/gbhtml/gp5.shtml
First we were told the AGM would be before the end of March and then at the Members Meeting we were told 20th June but this clearly isn't gonna happen then. Perhaps the club could communicate with the members about the delay and give us a predicted new date? Then again perhaps not.
We could have a sweep about the AGM date to raise the club some cash to pay the fine for the late accounts

Re: Agm again
So we've got to pay more money because they can't pull their finger out with the accounts?
I've got a lot of time for the BoD with a lot of things, but this is more than faintly ridiculous: they're fairly successful businessmen, they understand the importance of getting the accounts in on time and not having problems with the tax.
Priorities should always be
1) Taxes and related admin
2) Players wages and admin
Which isn't that much to keep on top of. I know money can be a little tight, but we should be able to cover these two at all times, and I really don't understand why we run into problems with them. It's business 101.

Its not that straightforward Jon.audigex wrote:I've got a lot of time for the BoD with a lot of things, but this is more than faintly ridiculous: they're fairly successful businessmen, they understand the importance of getting the accounts in on time and not having problems with the tax. We couldn't cover those bills because the season after Wembley the club lost over 170K and in addition probably lost more money last season. The club have struggled to meet historical debts never mind pay off existing ones. As a result its been a matter of prioritising which bills are paid and which bills are delayed or they can come to agreements over and as a result some bills weren't or still haven't been paid.
At the last AGM TK said that the directors were so busy sorting the bills to keep the club running the accounts were left as they were a lower priority. TK was also putting a lot of work into the development bid which doesn't seem as though it will come off now sadly. There is also 93K of debentures (loans) which the board hope many fans will write off.
As a result of the above the current directors loaned the club 250K to keep it functioning but whether we'll see this at the next AGM and associated accounts or how much of the debts these loans cover I'm unsure. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer for the AGM and accounts to be submitted.
