I said that Elaine that you would have been about somewhere.
To be fair they do have a lot of skips to empty so I guess they wouldn't have looked too hard!

Good news night Tuesday....

Firstly, the HSE cladding is complete :D (I think John L took some pictures to stick up on here) Can't really believe we've finished it.
Thanks to the people who helped on the final hurdle, Pete Nichols, Barrow abc, Al. We actually took the cladding around the turnstiles in the corner to tidy the whole end up, so apart from a little bit to do on the bottom corner - it's done. An appearance was even made by Mr Story to see the final sheets go up :)

Steve Ahern stole my loyal maid (Mrssenorita) & took him on the pop side turnstiles, haven't seen what they've done but if it's up to the standard of of the disabled area doors, they'll look great.

John Little painted the back of the old bluebird club wall where John Mackay finished up to a week & a half ago.

Bahamas bluebird (Ryan) was busy painting down the cross bar end of the ground & has taken away the trophy off John L for walking out of the ground with more paint on his hands than on the walls.

Stu & capman measured up for the replacement glass in the old BDF shop & the two windows that are now boarded up that belong to the home dressing room, all little bit's that will help improve the overall look of the ground.

John Mackay was there but I never really got to see what he was doing, but another long round trip for him just to help out at the ground.

Think that's everyone but apologies if I've missed anyone out.

I've been speaking with the NSC about some more funding off them for some more projects around the ground. They asked me to list a few job's with approx estimates so I gave them job's from a £100 up to £1,000 which was for the home dressing room, this was at the very top end of the estimate & depending on the finish - they've chose to donate the £1,000!!
This is on top of the £400 donation they made to re-furb the first aid room.

Thing's like that really make a difference, not only to the ground but to the people volunteering, you could just see Barrowabc's little face light up when he saw more work heading his way

Seriously, a fantastic gesture that has now seen the total money raised since we started reach around the 10k.

Straight down to Wards tomorrow for more paint :D

Nearly forgot, mrssenorita did his impersonation of the elephant on a pogo stick again when stood on the ladders
drilling, if you haven't volunteered yet - that alone is worth coming down for
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Congratulations lads and lasses.
Now who is going to paint the Wilkie stand overhang? Tall people please step forward. I have a platform type thing to stand on and if we can get that long pole Mike Forsyth used for the Xbar wall it should be doable.
Whitty the door in the players tunnel needs sorting please. The one on the left as you walk out has a broken door controller thing at the top.
I will get another!! new mirror for the away changing room on Thursday--please don't crack this one.

Gareth and Craig ( Earthly Matters) were working hard in the heat yesterday on the pitch. Limited with what improvements they can do at this late stage but put the hours in. The turf is standing up well considering the weather and Les is watering it every day.

Not a very good one but...

All the wood paneling on the back was rotting and coming away/falling through by now though.

Has the Blue Square North play off winners sign been relocated somewhere?

Them pictures that Ste's put up are of the HSE looking half decent. All of them plywood boards were falling off & looked really tatty, even if we never had the cladding they still would have had to come down as they were a danger, not only that - when they came off we found the wood holding the outside cladding up was also falling apart & had to be replaced.
It was all ready to come down with the next big gale.

It was in a worse state than the plywood so it got relocated in the skip, no chance of saving it.

I honestly don't know what was holding what up on the whole end.
