Checking back, the voting for the home and away kit was accompanied by pictures of long sleeved examples. I'm not saying there couldn't have been more explanation to say that short sleeves would not be an option, but .... we've got exactly what we voted for.

The fact that anyone is even slightly defending the fact that theres only long sleeved shirts is worrying.

Shirts aren't a matter of life and death but the lost revenue over the shirts could be the difference between us going bust.

4 of us regular shirt buyers who have had one every season for years aren't getting one. So thats nearly £200 there for starters.

How much are these shirts? Are the club still doing a reduction for members?

A league below us, a team that used to play in Daltons league.

Looks how good that looks. 24.99 , short sleeved modelled by a player we should have signed.

Each player is having a picture with them in the shirt and the number they will wear behind them as a pen pic for the website.

WE ARE SHIT AT THIS KINDA STUFF

At 24.99 i might get a fylde shirt!

At the end of the day, I think we should all just be proud to wear the Barrow shirt, long sleeve or short sleeve.

You're right it is so so frustrating.
I want my club to be great, no I want it to be good. Instead it's a joke. Its a laughing stock.

WE ARE TINPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go on, go on you can do better than that little outburst. Just the kind of fodder the evening mail will thrive on in its fans survey.

I dunno how many of you noticed but...... quite a few of the Barrow players on Saturday had their sleeves rolled right up. I reckon them shirts will end up as short sleeved with or without the aid of a pair of scissors.

The junior team that my son plays for has short sleeved shirts, all the lads find them more comfortable and none of them wear those ridiculous base-layers neither.
'ere luv....does this smell like chloroform to you??

I ordered mine on Saturday. The answer I have had (from someone else who has asked) is that the embroidery company who are adding the badges to the shirts have had problems with their machines and there is no indication when they will now be ready. No idea when I will get mine but am back up for the Gloucester home game on 7th September so may have to wait for that. Had hoped to get it before my holiday next week and as I am at Alty tomorrow I had an outside hope that someone could have brought it down for me but alas it seems not.

What was really evident at the weekend was that we were just not geared up at all in the shop. There was one young girl in there who was doing her very best and was extremely patient and pleasant with everyone but was over-run a little at the time I was in there and didn't really have answers to give anyone for most of the questions. I don't think it opened till after 1pm which did not help the situation. I know a few Brackley fans came into the shop when their bus arrived but I think got fed up of waiting because the server was sorting out a couple of memberships and season tickets at the time. At the same time we seemed to have 2 or 3 people selling tickets with no queue. Later on however this was also a bit over-run.

There is also nothing in the way of receipts given out for most things and people handing over large sums of money which worries me. I am pretty sure that there would be plenty of people on this forum who live near the club who would have been willing to give up an hour or two of their time last Saturday or any other Saturday to ensure that the shop is fully manned. This is one area that has been mentioned many times and pretty sure that something could be done with one of the directors overseeing it.

For me it is a perfect job for Steve Patton to sort out however my impression of him is not that great following coming up for he Accrington friendly. Myself and another exile went to collect our AGM letters as we were in Barrow to save postage for the club. We went into reception and asked if we could get them and were welcomed with nothing much more than a grunt whilst he fiddled with his mobile. When we asked again we were pointed to the boxes of letters but not much indication so we asked if we could look for them ourselves. We were told we could so we spent the next 5-10 minutes going through them. As these had people's private addresses on we should not have been allowed to do that really. Its a minor point but the whole attitude I got from one of our directors created a poor impression.

Steve Patton's daughter, who was reduced to tears by an old man shouting and bawling at her when she was doing her best to sort his season ticket out.
I wonder if it was the same person who went in the BDF shop during the minute's silence and asked if he could get served.!!!!!

Yep I also went in the Shop and the girl was by herself and completely over-run and there was a bit of a queue but she was very polite. This was about 2.30pm but another woman looked like she was just coming in to help her as I was going out but it was a bit late then as many had left due to the long wait. She definitely needed some help in there with it being the first game of the season people were hoping to collect season tickets, memberships, AGM Notices and had questions about the shirts, what are the clubs bank details and many other things. Hopefully at the Harrogate game it will be better organised and she will get more help?

I see that it actually doesn't have Barrow AFC on it again, same as last season.

Disappointing.

Sorry to hear that Elaine as she was doing a cracking job without any support at all - if you see her then please tell her this as there is no need for anyone to get agitated with her and I wouldn't want her to think that what she did was not very appreciated. I felt really sorry for her. She did a really good job of sorting out a season ticket and deal with a couple of shirt orders whilst I was there as well as sell badges/merchandise at the same time but it was not a one person job.
