Re: Club statement
If id just got away with gross misconduct and assault I'd probably keep my mouth shut and thank my lucky stars then knuckle down, not go running my mouth to the paper and basically gloating about the fact and rubbing it in...
Shocking to suggest Chris has lied. Why not just let it pass and forget about it as he's damn lucky he got the chance to.

Words fail me.
Re: Club statement
You make it sound like the only reason. They said "Unfortunately the continued dip in attendances, in direct relation to results". 2 points from 18 is relegation form and it was affecting the gate. It was nothing to do with Gregg Abbot himself. In fact they stated he was a very good manager that had delivered season upon season of improvements, but he has been unable to turn around a slide that started with an injury crisis last season. The results this season were unacceptable so he got sacked. Not quite the same situation with Bayliss at Barrow.barrowfan wrote:When Carlisle sacked their manager one of the reasons given was they could no longer put up with losing money when their attendances fell.

I'm absolutely staggered by DB's comments which are completely untrue. Will the board members in the meeting back-up those comments by Bayliss - it wouldn't surprise me if they did? Chris may have said the incident shouldn't have happened but no way did he withdraw the complaint because he was lying.
If it was lies why are there numerous other witnesses who will back up what Chris has said?
Has anyone from the club actually asked for other witnesses or their statements? No they haven't and I think we all know why.
Bayliss should have just kept his gob shut as this will do untold damage to the club.
What are you saying, all the witnesses were drunk or what.

No, the board didn't want statements from various people who were next to the incident (and sober) because they differed to what John Mackay said and backed up what Chris said about Bayliss.mally wrote:What are you saying, all the witnesses were drunk or what.John Very Little wrote:If it was lies why are there numerous other witnesses who will back up what Chris has said? Re: Club statement
Can we have some clarity from uncle Peter!! As this is becoming a very volatile issue.

Sersiously though, maybe he got lucky because of, better the devil you know. We have no idea who the other options were, they may have looked no further than Bayliss once he told them of his plans for the new season (whatever they are/were
Re: Club statement
So, let the temperance few, sorry, the 'various people' come forward then and make themselves known to the club at the next home match. If its as concrete as like to portray it and the 'various people' are adamant in Chris's favour and wanting rid of Bayliss then I am sure someone at the club will lend you and them an ear.John Very Little wrote:No, the board didn't want statements from various people who were next to the incident (and sober) because they differed to what John Mackay said and backed up what Chris said about Bayliss.mally wrote: What are you saying, all the witnesses were drunk or what.
