Will the club be pre selling tickets for the opening game, thus cranking up the excitement for the first game even more.

My first Game was in the conference north promotion winning season, was about 8. After that, started to go whenever my dad could take me but in 2010/11 season started to go every week and now have a season ticket and really look forward to weekends with home games. Can't wait for this season! :flag:

Ive always thought if local football games could be brought forward to 1.00pm when barrow are at home, all the lads could play and then pop down to Holker street at 3 to watch our teams attempt to get back in the football league...this would have a big effect on the crowds, however, there has never been a solution to this as the league and teams visiting always turn down early kick off requests. If this thing takes off like it could, who would want to miss out on it...is there a solution out there?

No this wouldn't work, a 90 minute game (2*45 min) takes 120 minutes (including half & extra time plus changing and transport from here and there) so the local team players would have to start before 1.00pm so no it's not going to happen.
We're all supporters on here. Let's leave the negative comments to the away fans

Agreed, any newbies or returnee's dont need any small minded "where were you when we were crap" or JCL quips.

The loyal band who stuck with us through good and bad times are the clubs lifeblood & everyone knows who they are, but all extra supporters through the turnstiles are the platform to greater things, like or or not we need each other if we are to go through the leagues.

We can not live without one & we can not prosper without the other.

Unity is strength

Couldn't give a toss if there are 200 first timers & 300 returnee's on that first home game - the team just need to put in the performances to keep them interested from the off.
If we get off to a good start & once things settle down with people returning from holidays I don't see any reason why gates shouldn't average out at 11-1200 by mid September.....stay in touch with the top teams (hopefully that's us anyway) & 14-1500 could/should be achievable by Christmas.

There seems to be plenty of new members registering on the forum, so if that's an indicator of interest the gates should pleasently surprise.
We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
