Win the league. We'll be lucky to finish in the top half if something doesn't change very quickly!JimmyCrabstick wrote:We ain't going to win this league playing like this.

Full time. Incredibly disappointing - well that's an understatement to be fair. The wheels have well and truly come off.
1 win in 6 which included 3 defeats. Bottom half form to say the least.

Popular side since '03.

Terrible again. Not good enough. Grand and Livesey must be two of the highest earners in the league and form part of a defence that conceded 4 against the basement boys. I'm fast losing patience with Edmondson.
Steve Herbert supports the nob theory - Saturday 4th February 2012.
If this bus crashed and everybody on it died, Barrow football would end - Daz Boyle, Boston away, August 9th 2014.

Dreadful stiff, defensively we really were atrocious.
No excuse for throwing it away like that, no excuse whatsoever.

Re: Hyde FC Match Thread
I am so glad I didn't waste my money going to this game.
What an awful set of results we've had over the last month, confidence will be shot at after that & it'll be even harder to get back on track than losing the two games to Fylde. I feel a bit sorry for Cowps (although they did sound like schoolboy errors) as he hasn't played for a good while now. How we went from hammering them at 2-4 & looking like we'd go on to bang another 2 or 3 into them to hanging on for a draw at the end is nothing short of a total disaster.
One point in three games from the bottom three teams away from home!

We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.
Re: Hyde FC Match Thread
Worryingly it's the defence which seems to have gone to pieces too in recent games, when previously we had been pretty solid there.
Hard for Cowperthwaite to come in today having not played for a long time, and most people would probably have agreed with that decision to give Burns a rest. Not just today but in all honesty Fylde at Holker Street should have had four and possibly more at the first game. Teams seem to be getting through us far too easily at the minute and creating chances.
On the plus side we've scored 4 when in the last two games it's been hard to see where a goal was coming from, but against a team that's got a defensive record like Hyde have we should probably be expecting that. Ledsham seems to have impressed on his debut with 2 goals and should be a good addition but I think our problems go a little further than that. Edmondson seems to know from his recent interview where we are going wrong, lets see if he has what it takes to change it and turn things around.

Re: Hyde FC Match Thread
Cruising at 4-2 up then we threw it away.
Most of the blame must go to the shambolic defending and I aint just talking about Cowps being in Burns position either.
We have been so vulnerable to pace why hasn't anything been done before now? Grand also not doing his job as a defender or captain.
Feel sorry for Cook who gave their defence the runaround for most of the match but gutted & disapppointed we never beat a side after being 2 up and were there for the taking.
Lack of leadership off the pitch also as I heard little encouragement from the sidelines which is also a worry?
