Think Tidds is bang out of order posting such baseless accusations on here, which serves to do nothing but reinforce a 'them vs us' attitude

As disappointing as it was to be turned away from Leamington's bar post match and the poor excuses given , I don't see it as any fault of our club whatsoever. I do think this is something we will have to get used to as we progress anyhow. But think it may be worth a call to the club we are due to visit a few days before to see if we are going to be welcome pre and post match as if not there will be quite a few establishments nearby (with a bit of notification) to where we are playing that would love an opportunity of making a quite few quid from a couple of hours of FRIENDLY WELL BEHAVED visiting football supporters. :skill:

Is someone maliciously contacting clubs in the guise of a Barrow AFC official and spinning them a yarn? It seems bizzare at these cash strapped clubs that they are turning away punters from their bars. I think someone from the club needs to act here by contacting the clubs in question and finding out conclusively if our reputation is being maligned in some way?

And also find out pre match if Barrow supporters are welcome or not beforehand so we can spend our cash elsewhere if need be.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...

Not quite sure how it can be anything to do with the trust either.
OUR club requested that we were segregated at Tamworth when there hadn't been any major problems previously.
We were segregated at the last game we played against Tamworth before this season John you didnt make a big issue then?

It's Leamington AFC's loss anyway. Our group of eight thirsty exiles had planned to go into the clubhouse after the game, and had booked a taxi accordingly to take us to the railway station afterwards. When we heard that the bar would be closed we changed our plans, rearranged the taxi time, and spent our beer money in the town centre.

Though a taxi turned up for us at 1735 as well as 1700. The guy didn't sound too pleased when he rang me telling me he was at the ground and I told him we had re-arranged it and were now supping somewhere else. Not our fault the taxi firm didn't tell the driver but might use a different taxi firm if we are ever there again :)

I could hardly make an issue of it when I wasn't at that game!!
I half expected Tamworth to be segregated this season because of the large numbers we took and wasn't bothered when it was, it was the fact that a Tamworth official said they didn't plan on segregating but it was Barrow that had requested it.
PM sent to Peter.

I did think the officials could've stopped the game sooner - to be fair to Leamington it was the tackler and their bench who were closest that saw that something bad had happened and reacted first.
Point of order regarding this unfortunate incident, NW-A fouled Matt Dodd and then landed funny. Not only did the referee miss the Leamington free-kick, he didn't stop the game for the obvious injury.

A Leamington fan told me they only put this rule in for our visit as well.
Beer in plastic glasses outside the bar/patio was stopped for clubs with large away followings after the Stockport visit. It was in place when Tamworth came down IIRC.

I wouldn't have thought it would worry you too much if you're not used to it at home.

Why do you think your stewards lied to us about the bar closing at full time when it didn't.?
